Establishing my daughter in Denver today. We found this place in her new neighborhood and scored a win for her first lunch in her new home. She got the tika chicken tacos and I got the mushroom tacos. Loved them both. The only odd thing is that they added a 20% tip automatically for a party of two. Too bad they were so forceful, I would have tipped more.

Another place with misleading prices on menu. If you want to charge "service" fee, be honest and set the prices accordingly instead. These hidden fees are ridiculous. What will be next? Happy hour with 1+1 free (+ only 100% service fee, written in tiny font at the back of the menu)? :D

I think this is the most overrated restaurant in Denver ?. I have so many friends who love it and it confuses me. I don’t think the food or the service is anything at all to write home about, especially for the price. I’ve lived and traveled for extended periods in Mexico, Central + South America, so perhaps that’s why I just don’t see it.

A mainstay for my wife and I. Order the barbacoa with shishito peppers. The congelados are bomb.
Portion sizes a little small, but delicious dry aged meat. Got the lamb and chicken quesadilla. Skip the quesadillas and stick to the yummy tacos.

Food was next level, apps were good, tacos were all delicious and had a great balance of flavor, drinks were unique and yummy, and the churros were the best I've ever had, outside seating was a little dark and the seating uncomfortable. Kitchen was busy so it took a bit for us to get our food. Most expensive taco to quantity I've had, but the quality is top notch.
