Crazy how overpriced this place is and at the same time is actively advocating for their minimum tipped employees to get paid even less. This place is pretentious and overrated do yourself a favor and go to another amazing restaurant in Denver that actually values their staff and avoid this one at all costs- literally.

This is the worst margarita I have ever had. The menu reads that it’s tequila, fresh lime juice, and agave. When they brought it out, it was mostly orange juice so I thought they gave me the wrong drink because orange juice is not on the menu. Nope. That’s how they make them. If you want a margarita as it reads on the menu instead of the tequila sunrise that they serve, they say well we can’t use fresh lime juice if we make it that way. When you ask why they don’t make a normal margarita with orange liquor they say oh orange juice is so much better than orange liquor. They aren’t remotely the same thing. Orange juice is not a replacement for orange liquor. Orange juice is not liquor. You are paying $13 for a watered down tequila sunrise. If you are reading this, and you own this restaurant or have the power to make decisions about the bar, I BEG you to take a weekend trip to Austin and try some margaritas that are served at similar restaurants there. This margarita is an embarrassment.

This restaurant felt like a Portlandia skit.

This place is like an SNL skit about a white millennial’s idea of a “fun Mexican joint.” Why are there pepitas and pistachios in the guacamole, I don’t know. Our food was somehow managed to be shockingly bland even with the sauces given. Our drinks arrived 30 minutes into our meal, we were asked if we wanted a different drink or wanted to wait. We decided to wait because we wanted to try the congelados, and the drinks were compensated for the delay. Finally, they gave us the check which included an auto-20% gratuity. Why not just pay your employees a fair, livable wage instead of putting the expense on your customers? Other than comped drinks and the friendly staff, this place was a fever dream.

Tried to go to another restaurant nearby on a weeknight with two friends which ended up being full so ended up here. Two of us are vegetarian and unfortunately this restaurant has extremely limited veg options so we split a few sides. Very loud environment and server was nice but a bit absent.

Vegetarian options: Not labeled vegetarian dishes and very few options

Haven’t been here in a while but the food never disappoints. I always expect it to be a fairly expensive meal which is fine. What was a little irritating was when we ordered our tacos the server asked “Do you want rice and beans with that?” This was after we had already ordered the larger chips and queso appetizer to split between just my wife and I. I assumed it was like a small order that would typically already come on the side of an entree at most restaurants. Instead we got 2 additional appetizers that really didn’t even go with the tacos we ordered. Just seemed a little misleading and ended up slapping an extra $20 to our tab. If I knew we were putting in an order for 2 extra appetizers on top of all the food we already ordered I would have absolutely passed. Why ask if we want rice and beans in THAT way especially while we’re in the middle of ordering our taco entrees? Seemed a bit scammy.

My wife ordered a double Tito’s rocks with a Coke back. It was a $30 drink. It was very watered down and not poured properly. All together for one beer, one drink, one appetizer, and gratuity (guacamole and chips) it was 70+ dollars. For that price I expect much more.

Service was minimal, like not even trying, like not asking how everything was (because we would have gotten a second drink). Too bad. I guess I should have known since it was the only place for brunch that had reservations available. The restaurant hardly had people eating in it, on a Sunday at 11! I guess it's also the 20% automatic tip that turns people off.

Good place for Mexican food! Came with a large group of like 10+ without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us, which was amazing. We ended up ordering a bunch of tacos, appetizers, and drinks to share, and they all came out very fast.

Tacos come with tortillas on the side so people can assemble whatever they want inside the taco. The coconut rice appetizer should not be slept on since that ended up being everyone's favorite. It was so good we ended up ordering another one!

The place itself is very cute, lots of loud colors, which made the place feel very fun and vibey.

Cold, stark interior and layout. Guac was good, but the queso was awful (watery, hard to scoop on a chip, no spoon to use to pour it on a chip. Birria dip (au-jus) was greasy and tasted like rancid steak. Great non-alcoholic drink options. Limited beer and wine choices. Maybe try it during happy hour.

I’ve been here 3 times in the past year. Every time has been worse than the previous one.
On the positive side, we like the atmosphere and the location in our neighborhood.
Last time we tried the plato for $32, which basically was a single duck leg and 6 tortillas. We were expecting that to feed two people, instead is just as big as any other tacos plate for $16ish, just double the price. Just get the lamb tacos or the smoked potatoes, we liked those two.
The shrimp tacos were really overdone and the shrimp were almost burnt.
In general, we found food portions to be pretty stingy and not a great value overall. An average person would definitely need two orders of tacos to feel satiated. Cocktails are also overpriced considering it’s a casual place.
I’m not a fan of the trays they serve tacos on either, but that’s fine.

Average in flavor and higher than average in price. Trendy Mexican restaurant and that's what you get. Won't return.

Super excited to check this place out and felt the atmosphere was cool. They do disclose 20% auto service charge on the menu, then the waitress tells you this and says "anything additional you add goes to the server". I felt this meant "I expect a tip + the 20%" which is enough for me not to return. If you're going to charge an additional 20%, don't make the customer feel like that's not enough.
