Another fantastic experience at Mizuna tonight! Excellent food, atmosphere, and service!
Very disappointed to see a Denver restaurant selling force fed duck liver. Gross and cruel stuff. 🤮
I enjoyed the experience very much. Service was top notch. The food was absolutely magnificent. A true cultural experience. I can’t say it was pricey because the experience matched the price. Waiters were very attentive and knew exactly when to do what. Two MINOR things (and trust me it’s minor) I’d suggest is the crumbs on the ya le were left there on the table and the music did not always match the ambiance. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience and will absolutely return.

A Sour Note in the Mile High City: Mizuna Falls Flat!!!
In my extensive journey as a food critic, I’ve dined at some of the most distinguished establishments in the world. From Tokyo’s bustling Tsukiji Market to Paris’s Michelin-starred sanctuaries, I’ve tasted the sublime and the groundbreaking. Thus, when I walked through the doors of Mizuna in Denver, with its whispers of culinary artistry, I anticipated an experience that would dance upon my palate. Instead, I found myself in a regrettable farce that left me longing for even the simplest of street food.
Mizuna, a name that suggests grace and freshness, served me a ten-course parade of mediocrity that was as overpriced as it was overwrought. At $600 for a meal for two, one expects a symphony of flavors, a crescendo of textures, and an atmosphere that elevates every bite to a divine experience. Unfortunately, Mizuna’s performance was a cacophony of errors that left me not just underwhelmed, but thoroughly disappointed.
Let’s start with the scallops. Ah, the poor scallops. To call them salty would be an understatement—these morsels were practically embalmed in a saline solution so aggressive, I half-expected them to come with a life preserver. The natural sweetness of the scallop, which should have been the star of the dish, was drowned under a wave of salt so overpowering that even Poseidon would recoil. If there was any attempt to balance this assault with acidity, sweetness, or even a whisper of nuance, it was lost in the depths of the ocean they seemed to have been seasoned in.
The rest of the courses continued the dismal descent into culinary purgatory. Each dish of the ten course meal was a new chapter in what felt like a novel-length apology letter to my taste buds.
Service, I must admit, was polite and attentive, the one redeeming feature of an otherwise disastrous evening. But even the best service cannot redeem a kitchen that seems so profoundly out of touch with the fundamentals of taste.
Mizuna, I fear, is an emperor without clothes—a restaurant with grand aspirations but no substance. Denver deserves better, and frankly, so do I. This is one stage upon which I will not set foot again. A word to the wise: steer clear, unless you have a particular fondness for salted scallops and culinary disappointment.

I can’t say enough great things about Mizuna from the food to the service, Outstanding!!! Our server was Addison. He was amazing! We did the Chef’s tasting menu! He explained each dish and added additional things like a White Port and treats to take home. We were celebrating our anniversary and Addison made it extra special! So if you have a special occasion look no further! Mizuna is the place.

The restaurants is very well curated down to the restroom experience. The service is also great! Unfortunately the flavors of the food just fell flat. We went for a themed dinner night and the $300+ price tag was not at all worth it. The menu pairings were lack luster with many bread courses. Ingredients seemed high quality but missed the mark when it came to delivering satisfying flavor.

Beautiful attention to detail and personalization during the meal.
Addison and the team gave beyond exceptional service. Each course of the tasting menu and drink pairing was presented well, thoroughly described, and asked about after we enjoyed it.
Honestly, I'm shocked this place does not have a Michelin star

I host a culinary adventure collective here in Denver and there were 7 us for dinner at Mizuna on a weeknight. We were there for over four hours. I enjoy a good meal but the pace was turtle status and the food was over priced for the experience, ambiance, service and flavors. My mezcal marg wasn't enjoyable, the wine was ok and they're asking Michelin star prices.

For my mother’s 94th birthday, I chose Mizuna, a venue she had enjoyed years ago and was excited to return.
From the chef, to the wait staff, they made my mother feel so special. The appetizers were altered for her palette, the fresh peach salad was a seasonal favorite and the sea bass was so fresh and delicious. To top off the evening, the chef prepared a lemon meringue mini pie complete with a candle along with homemade treats to take home.
I would highly recommend this intimate spot for any special occasion or evening enjoyment. The service was impeccable as well.

Tonight was our date night and my beautiful partner and I found ourselves at Mizuna. We easily made reservations online and as we walked up the door was opened for us and we were immediately sat. We somehow lucked out and we were sat at the chefs table with the view of the pros doing what they do best while still having our space in a private intimate atmosphere. From the second we walked in we knew this was something special. Everyone here takes immense pride in the experience they provide. Then the food!!! I had the beef wellington and my beautiful lady had the smoked duck. Food is something that can truly touch the soul, bring you to tears. All i can say is WOW! The apps and desert and the generous in-betweens leave me speechless. It's a beautiful thing when you find a place that truly takes pride in their craft! Having Frank come out to personally thank us for our support and make sure everything was amazing speaks volumes about everything he stands for! As a small business owner in Boulder I was taken back by the passion and care from start to finish Mizuna gave us. If you haven't been here move Mizuna to the top of your list! Thank you for one of the best meals of our lives and making this date night one we won't forget!!! We will be back soon.

Absolutely fantastic evening. We chose the chef's selection menu. It was creative, had a large variety and was the perfect amount of food. The combination of elements and pairings was really superb.
Lovely experience! The food and drinks were excellent and so well crafted. Questionable music, lighting, and ambience. Great to try for a nice date night, but the overall quality does not match the price tag.
We love being surprised by each course on the tasting menus. Definitely a special dining opportunity. Jean Paul and Antoine make the experience truly memorable. Looking forward to returning!
Everything was outstanding - food, service, ambience - highly recommend for a special event. We went there for our Wedding Anniversary and were treated to a glass of champagne on the house! Perfection!
We had an absolutely wonderful, amazing culinary experience last night at Mizuna's. My wife had the Chef's Tasting menu and I had the Seafood menu. The dishes were fantastically creative. Plus the staff greeted us with a signed card recognizing our wedding anniversary as well as a beautiful “Grand Dessert “ at the end of our meals. Upon leaving the Sommelier provided a recommended list of wines for my wife. The cocktail I had during dinner was a fantastic margarita like drink excellently prepared by the bartender. Finally we were also given a “goody bag consisting of two chocolates and a box of cookies. I cannot express how professional and fun the staff were during our dining experience. Cheers to Mizuna!!!
