First CO eatery i’ve been to, and BOY was this amazing. Not sure if it was because we were starving from the flight, but wow. The hostess was really sweet and all the workers seem to love their job. The bar was dark so be prepared for that, but for being the oldest in Denver, it has a vintage feel that felt like we were living in history. We got a cheeseburger, fries, and a hot dog w onion. They bring out a bunch of sides in a container (relish/onion/ketchup/mustard etc) you can add on which is so convenient as an onion lover so I could choose the amount. We split half and half and I loved both. I will say the bathrooms smell of sulfur, like a hot spring, but, it’s a bar.. and it’s old so. Would 100% be back.

Service was good, but food was ridiculously bland. Zero seasoning or flavor and everything is a la carte, so it can get pricey to get full. Wouldn't go back for food. Would consider going back strictly for drinks.

Loved it! Such a classic dive bar with a grill. Great service, great food. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Had a short half day in Denver, heard this was the place to go for a locals-only dive experience, and did not disappoint. Drinks were very reasonably priced, great beer selection, food smelled amazing, and the vibes were immaculate.
The real cherry on top though: I stopped by in the middle of the Broncos/Bills playoff Jan 2026. The bartender invited me and others to watch the game on a staff member’s phone. Made friends, learned their names, felt like a true local for a minute, and that’s what a dive bar’s all about.

One of the best burger restaurants in the city. I love that there isn't a TV and they play classical music. Been dropping in since the early 70's.

We were seated right away. Did take over 5 minutes for our server to acknowledge us. We ordered the Ralphie. It was good. Would have been better served medium instead of well done. The fries were delish and we ended up not having time for dessert due to our server being very rushed and did stop to ask if everything was ok... however, before we completed our sentence he was on to the next table, never had the chance to order. Took a while to get our bill as well.

Sadly the service and quality went downhill since my last visit a few years back. Since Denver has the highest minimum wage in the country, a cost passed on to the consumer as a higher price, I expect really good service for a $18 beer, grilled cheese and a small bag of potato chips.
