Taverns gave me some of the best catfish ever it was hot steaming on demand the french fries always came crunchy and the owner was always smiling from New Orleans Dominic Armstrong I even had a couple catfish plates I told him he had hair on it and they even replaced it in style if you want first class diner service you will go to NOLA voodoo tavern if there was ever a problem they still would replace your food and not make you pay for it and that's what you call real hospitality...
Nola Voodoo is new & improved too, they've upgraded to a larger spot directly across the street :) the new spot is 3x bigger so it has way more tables & more seats at the bar... and it has more TVs plus two pool tables!! The pool table is nice & the TVs give it more of a sports bar or dive bar feel... and the food is even better bc they expanded their menu a little! Oh & I think a few more taps for beer too, and an expanded liquor selection. Love the new vibe.
Great...
The etoufee was good but not as great as I had read about in reviews. It was more like rice and crawfish in a brown gravy. I don't think it was horrible but I wasn't impressed. Service was immaculate though. And it's a cool building although in a rough area it seemed like. I'll go again and try a different dish.
