Beer is good
Wonderful location, great energy, good products; however, there are particular staff members who present as if they'd rather be having their teeth drilled without novocaine than answer more than one question or help someone not overly familiar with various brews. Too many wonderfully-staffed brewery's to visit this one again. (I get the impression the employees/management maybe, just don't care if you return or not).
I walked in to Our Mutual Friend Brewing around 130pm on 11/20/2024 looking to inquire about purchasing/renting a keg. When I walked in, there was no line and there weren't many patrons. I approached the bar, where I noticed Lindsey, the bartender, was speaking to someone on my side of the bar, Cory. As Lindsey pulled herself away from speaking to her coworker, she looked at me, annoyed and stated "Can I help you?". I then inquired, "Yes! Do y'all sell kegs?" A question I figured would be a yes or no answer. Lindsey then looked at me, confused and more annoyed and said, "Like for.......". Let me pause here. It wasn't the fact that she might have been confused at my question, it was the clear annoyance in her tone and facial language that is the antithesis of customer service. I stated back "For the beer you sell?" Giving her tone right back to her. She obviously did not appreciate this and walked away to the bathroom. This is when Cory, the coworker she was speaking to when I first approached the bar, took over the conversation. I gave Cory multiple chances to correct the situation by asking, "Is that a weird question to ask in a brewery?", "I'm not sure why I am being treated like that is out of the norm... especially at a brewery". Instead of admitting and trying to damage control, Cory only kept defending Lindsey (who was still in the bathroom) telling me "it's a weird question to ask to a bartender (a bartender, who works at a brewery)" and "it's not a question we receive often". Whether or not it's a question you receive often doesn't give Lindsey the right to speak to a potential paying guest that way. As Cory went into another backroom to gather a business card for me so I could contact the correct employee for this request, Lindsey came out of the bathroom. Cory rejoined me at the bar, provided me the card, and I once again asked "whether or not it is a rare question, why am I being treated like that is an oddity. For a brewery to sell kegs?" He then motioned to Lindsey, and Lindsey, even more rudely and condescending than before said something to the effect of, "I was confused by your question HUN, I am sorry if you feel some type of way by my confusion". Once again, it wasn't a terrible apology, it is the level of disgust I could feel coming from this worker. I walked out and will not be walking back in to this establishment. I have not only had terrible customer service at this location in this past, but have had close friends tell me of similar encounters with your staff. It is not a big ask to be treated with respect and kindness, especially when I was willing to purchase a large expense item. I hope this reaches the correct point of contact as this level of customer service is beyond unacceptable.
One bathroom for an entire brewery? Okay.
Staff is cool, beers are good, bbq place beside is amazing.
My partner may have liked the beer, but we think how the staff act towards customers is trash.
Best beer in Denver.
Decided to go here while waiting for a table to open up at Cart-Driver and so glad we did! Beer was excellent, and the outdoor patio vibes were great. We decided to stay longer than planned and got the pizza to go so we could stay longer and try more of their beers. Highly recommend stopping in.
Great beer. Super friendly staff.
During the plandemic this was the ONLY place I was ever denied a beer due to not taking the mRNA 'vaccine'. Shame on OMF for taking part in the fascist insanity.
Nice spot, good atmosphere!
