While awaiting a tire repair across the street, my husband and I discovered this Mexican market. As Texans with a deep appreciation for authentic Mexican cuisine, and with my Hispanic heritage, I can confidently state that this market provides genuinely exceptional REAL AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Every detail, from the pan dulce to the barbacoa torta, is outstanding. Since our return to Texas, we frequently recall our experience and express our longing to revisit Denver for their extraordinary barbacoa torta and my personal favorite the asada burrito. We are fortunate to be revisiting Colorado by the end of January and eagerly anticipate indulging in their remarkable cuisine once again.Definitely a 10/10

This place is terrible! I arrived looking to buy chicharrón con carne, I stood in front of the counter and saw that there were 3 young people in the area who served meat, the 3 of them continued talking and laughing, they literally ignored me, so I asked... do you still have pork rinds and how much does it cost? To which a young man responded, at the top of the screen you can search for the prices and I stayed like that 😵💫

Staff is friendly, good service. Food is good. Tried an asada burrito - good.
Had asada tacos, very good. Served on double tortilla, nice meat portion, caramelized onion and cilantro. Fresh salsa station had a couple of options along with cilantro, sliced cucumbers.
Would come back to try additional items.

This place is horrible, I bought 5 pounds of meat and the marinade was super salty that you couldn't eat it because of so much salt. I really don't recommend it. People shouldn't waste their money.
Very healthy traditional Mexican food, can't speak highly enough about this place
Update: Sorry, what I said is that the food is really good and I can't say enough good things about this place

It's not a language barrier, it's just flat out ignorance. You order chorizo, they give you ham. The food is good when you get the thing you order, but typically you're gonna get something else

Contreras has the best Pan Dulce in Colorado. I have searched around the Denver area my entire life to try and find the best Mexican bread there is and Contreras deserves all the recognition for it's high quality pan dulce. They bake it fresh daily and have all kinds to choose from in the bakery. I hired them for my wedding to deliver a large order and they delivered to my wedding location all the way in Broomfield. It is always such a treat driving down to enjoy their pan dulce and I will remain a lifelong customer. I would highly recommend their pan dulce to anyone looking to enjoy some of the best tasting Mexican bread around.

By far one of the best markets in Denver. Excellent customers, service, quality, food, and great prices. I can’t stop going there, The restaurant side also has tasty food with excellent customer service. I would recommend everybody shop for their meats, and everything they offer, including fresh fruit and produce. They have tasty sweet bread as well freshly made every day. Gabriel always delivers excellent customer service, along with all the ladies. Saludos y gracias

The store is small and has your typical mexican convenience store items plus a bakery and small selection of vegetables. However, I'm glad I discovered the bakery flour tortillas here are amazing! I travel across town once a month and bulk buy several flour tortillas to freeze and reheat for burritos/wraps or our meals. They reheat wonderfully unlike any other flour tortilla I've tried. Several friends agree the flavor is simply delicious. Even my Mexican mother-in-law with legendary cuisine, likes them. One thing though is, sometimes the tortillas have some black soot on them, but its due to the ash of the utensils from cooking the tortillas. It's not mold. However make sure to freeze if you won't use immediately to ensure they stay preserved. I hope they never go out of business so i never run out of delicious flour tortillas. ??

Typical Mexican carnicería/panaderia/tortilleria. The difference from all the others is they have the best flour tortillas I have ever tasted in my life! They have a great variety of meats as well!
