Really nice coffee counter in a cute, relaxed space. Service was great, very friendly and welcoming. Ask for the pandan latte if you're interested, very good.

I sat there at the bar for almost 10 minutes unacknowledged by the barista who was standing there casually talking to friends. Not a glance, not a word toward me. Not making them drinks, just chatting. I finally got up and left without anything! Super disappointing, and surprising considering the high rating of this coffee shop. It’s inside this ritzy little market, and maybe you need to look the part to get the time of day? Idk, but I wouldn’t go anywhere near this place again.

One of my stray cats that my husband and I take care of is called Penelope, so I had to stop by this coffee shop and pay homage during my short visit to Denver. Although the barista made me the best iced Americano I've ever had, the establishment itself was not at all what I thought it was based on what I saw on Google. It's a little cafe inside a larger market rather than a full coffee shop, and so the only seating available is their bar, which is fine because it's pretty big and not super busy in the morning. So the vibe was not exactly what I usually look for in a coffee spot, but if you're just in and out, it's a great little place. Also, they didn't have pastries the morning I was there, which I found odd.

I’ve seen Penelope on Insta for a while and glad I finally went. It’s an open air small coffee shop in the Milk Market. The drinks were delicious and the employee was super friendly. He checked that we liked our drinks after first sips. I got a vanilla matcha and husband an espresso. Both were so smooth and delicious, I’d definitely go if I were in the area.
Parking: There is street parking all around and the music garage 1 block north. Expect to walk 1-2 blocks to get to the market.
Caught up with a friend at @penelopecoffeebar, and I loved the Japanese minimalist vibe this shop had to offer. Their Irish coffee mocktail (soon to be off their menu) hit the spot on this chilly snow dayThe staff were extremely friendly and made tasty recommendations for drinks.

A coffee shop that actually cares about the product that they put out. They use ceremonial grade matcha and carefully make each espresso (weight, use a distribution tool, and tamp). Were also particular with making sure the steaming was done properly for each drink. Really impressed with it. Definitely worth a visit for quality espresso and matcha drinks. Thanks Phoebe and Matt!
