Delivery driver gave himself a higher tip than what I put after dropping off food.

A quaint place with limited seating for dining. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous and very filling

Based on so many mixed reviews I was hesitant to try Peter’s for the first time. I’m so glad I did. I ordered General Tao Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice. Both had a rich, savory flavor and perfectly cooked proteins and vegetables. It wasn’t just salt and sweet, but depth of flavor. Definitely the best I’ve had in this neighborhood!

I live in the neighborhood and have been coming here for a few years. Just ordered the sesame chicken along with the sesame tofu and the steamed veggie dumplings.

The sesame chicken like others have said is so over fried like they just refried some old leftovers. It's hard as a rock!! The sesame tofu was pretty bland with not enough sauce on it. The steamed dumplings were decent but also didn't have much flavor.

Looks like the quality has gone way down in the last few months with the change of ownership.

Please go back to how you used to cook the food and stop over frying to the point of being inedible.

Great portions, fast and we always take out. Great business to have in the neighborhood. I haven’t eaten in as the place is small and usually busy with orders and pickups.

You don't go for the ambiance, you go for the food (and previously for a delightful banter with Peter). Brought friends from the Philippines, Thailand, Guam and another raised on Indonesian cooking, all fantastic cooks, all very particular. They LOVED it! Disclaimer, I'm distain loud, clattering restaurants where you must shout to be heard so this hole in the wall suits me fine. Can't recommend the soup, but my favorite dish is shrimp and garlic green beans. The shrimp is fresh and the green beans are tender crisp and bursting with flavor.

Chicken drunken noodles - the spices tasted a bit off

The drunken noodles and walnut shrimp were good. However the sesame chicken was just plain sad. $15 for fried batter bits? Where is the chicken? come on, chicken does not cost that much. Give customers bigger chunks of chicken.

Sesame chicken always hits. Don't sleep on the green beans either. I usually get takeout, but going in person is fun because the owner is a gem.

Overcharged, poor quality, and they gave us brown rice instead of fried rice. Overall, disappointing. Great Wall on Colfax is what I’d recommend for a better overall experience

Worst Chinese I’ve ever eaten and so over priced . Owner sleeping at counter mid day No me digas. Ordered “lunch specials” over $25 and more than half of the take out container spaces were rice! The smallest space for the inedible overcooked chicken drowning in gross dark sauce. They Totally forgot the veggies . Ridiculous and I’ve lived in hood for almost 10 years . I gave this place a chance 4 times & all mediocre but this one order so awful and definitely my last! New China Cafe I’ve frequented for over 20 years rules in food quality and price!

My fiance and I have been ordering from Peter’s for the past 2 or 3 years, it’s the only place we get Chinese takeout now. We used to live in the Lakewood area and loved Szechuan (still delicious) but we can confirm that Peters is hands down the best we’ve had. Food is always piping hot and fresh when it gets here, they give generous portions and always get our order right. The sesame chicken is delicious and stays crispy even until the next day if you have leftovers.
They even offer free delivery if you’re in the area so no need to get charged fees by DoorDash - just call them and your food with be there within an hour.

Also, they have no MSG in anything. MSG has never bothered me, but my mom has an allergy to it and I can confirm that she was able to enjoy everything we ordered from Peter’s when she came to visit.

10/10, seriously love this place
