I immediately knew this place was amazing when the smell hit me walking in. These folks are Real Ones. Brisket & pork belly amazing, pickled smoked jalapeño chefs kiss, in house sauces bright and forward. D&D fans as well! Full barrel tunnel smokers out front. Go eat there! (Our Mutual Friend brewery is right next door!)

Listen up, fellow vegetarians! They have mushroom & jackfruit for plant-based folks, and serve in OMF Brewing next door. Win win!

I ordered catering for 40 people and pit fiend did an awesome job. Delaney was super helpful and offered flexible options so we could have a wide variety of bbq. Ultimately I did the sandwich bar with brisket, pulled pork and s&p chicken, which came with a ton of slaw, onions, pickles and sauce. We also ordered Mac and cheese and cucumber salad, and got lions mane mushrooms for the vegetarians. Everything was super delicious and reasonably priced. Would absolutely recommend catering from here for a party.

Overall Rating and is it worth a visit: 9/10 and Yes. Ended up being a lunch stop for my 36th birthday this year, and it didn't disappoint. A top 3 BBQ spot in Colorado, that is 100% worth the visit and has delivered every time I've gone. As Mike, Juan, & Esteban learned the Texas BBQ ways from their previous restaurant owner/boss Karl Fallenius, who learned from his Pit Master boss before him, the Legendary Aaron Franklin, Pit Fiend delivers for anyone looking for a Central Texas BBQ experience while visiting Colorado or Denver. Simultaneously nailing the classics/staples like the brisket, sausages, and mac & cheese, while also rocking one of the more experimental and unique BBQ menus out there, you're sure to find something you like. Offering great daily specials with some seriously creative options, while also delivering tasty vegan choices such as jackfruit and mushrooms for your meat-averse friends, Pit Fiend has something for everyone in the group. Would recommend and will be back again. Full review at The House of Salt & Smoke

Fantastic barbeque. The brisket has a great crust and didn't need any sauce, it is very good. The pulled lamb is a special treat and is spiced very well. If I live next to this place I'd be in there all the time

The food was okay, there wasn’t a lot of seating and we had to wait for a table to open up. I’d suggest finding another place if you are coming with a group of four or more. The Mac and cheese was really not my favorite. It was kinda spicy and not really anything to write home about. I wish they would have put something on their menu that stated that their mac and cheese has spicy flavor to it, as I was anticipating just normal cheesy mac and cheese. We ordered 3 orders of mac and cheese and none of us ate ours.

While parking was an issue, the food was outstanding. The owner was super friendly as was his staff. The environment was fun as well. Will definitely come back during a summer trip.

My experience here was a little bit different as I’d never actually been to Pit Fiend before and decided to take a chance and order one of their Thanksgiving take out packages.

First, the value is incredible. It was $115 for “Turkey Breast and Sides” which was noted as enough food for 4, but which could’ve easily fed 6-8 reasonably hungry people.

It included smoked turkey breast (sliced fresh at pickup), smoked green beans, Mac n cheese, cornbread muffins, baked potatoes, and an elote salad. All of the food was excellent. While it was great to have Turkey that is super juicy and has real depth of flavor to it (rarely the case for Thanksgiving) the standouts for me were the two corn dishes and the Mac n cheese, which was just as great as many, many other reviewers have noted.

Also, even though it was a short experience, I want to say that the service was great. On a day like Thanksgiving where I’m sure no one wants to be working, the gentleman who sliced my turkey and set up my order was super friendly and polite.

We’ll likely be stopping in soon to try out their regular menu, and look forward to making Pit Fiend an annual Thanksgiving tradition.

A cross between dungeons and dragons with bbq. The service here is top notch, and very knowledgeable about their bbq. We got the brisket, chicken, mushroom, baked potato with pork belly, corn bread with jalapeno and plain and the cucumber salad.

The brisket is tasty and cooked very well. Their rub is unique, coffee and brown sugar gave the meat something different. The pork belly was very tasty and had fall apart texture. The chicken was a bit spicy, with a slightly tough texture. The mushrooms had a similar taste to the chicken but the texture was a mix between pulled pork and over cooked mushrooms.

The cucumber salad was cucumber soaked in sour sauce, but it's so tiny. The bagged potato was cooked to perfection and the butter made it a work of art. The jalapeno cornbread was a more savory option with cheese. The plain, with a little honey was a very good traditional cornbread.
