Just threw away half an expensive chicken shawarma sandwich. I haven't been in a long while, but this is completely different than before. Iraqi guys used to work there, not sure about the cooks. Now it says Syrian. I've been to Syria and lived all over the Middle East, and the sandwich was just plain weird.They slathered the meat with too many spices and the bread with red stuff that's either what is normally put on bread that grilled meats are plated on or the season salt for the fries. Neither goes on shawarma! The pickles are clearly American style dill pickles and NOT Middle Eastern. They taste way different. There are plenty of suppliers for the proper pickles.For those that have never had a shawarma in situ, this was edible. But if you have had a legit one, big no!The lack of legit offerings in the MidEast food scene here has always been a struggle.So far, the only place that I've been to that makes an authentic chicken shawarma in the area is Amira Grill, if they are even still open.

Nice spacious place. The pizza is pretty good. The shawarma lamb is more like a steak sandwhich, it also has lots of sauce which I find unnecessary. The chicken shawarma is good but also has 3-4 different kinds of sauces.

Been coming here for years, classic take-out location since they're open late into the AM, but they've recently renovated the interior as well, and with more space they are able to give it more of a sit-down restraunt experience. The new cashiers are super friendly!
