Think quaint sit down treasure, tucked away with amazing food you would expect to pay more for elsewhere. I live an hr away, but I have been coming here with my friends and family off and on since the early 90s. We've usually been seated in the back dining area, but this last time, without a reservation, we were luckily able to be seated in a little area tucked just outside the bar. Basically right up front looking outside the tinted windows. Oddly it felt cozy and private for the 4 of us. Even though there was a Bronco game at the time, we could easily talk & hear our own conversations, while sneaking a side eye peek at a tv screen for the score. I've never had anything I didn't like here and portions are moderate enough to usually save a bit of dinner in a box and enjoy one of their delicious desserts. I love their Jägerschnitzel or Lemon Piccata, when in season their fish is always a winner. This time I got a delicious grilled perfectly portioned Halibut with a lemon caper sauce, wilted spinach, mashed garlic potatoes and was able to get a bit of the Jägerschnitzel sauce instead of the normal gravy. It was like I got all of my favorite flavors in one dish. Prices are about or maybe just a few bucks more than what we would've paid at any other counter service or basic restaurant in this area.

I have been driving by Poppies for 30+years, I finally stopped and.....
The good: Cool old-school vibe and feel.
The servers were awesome and extremely friendly. Chicken tenders were really good.
The bad: The French Dip Sandwich was atrocious
tasted like old grease and nothing else. couldn't taste the a jus. Awful... I don't know if I'll be back.
too bad.

There are no words to describe how much we love this place. The food, service and pricing is perfect and we eat here frequently. I hate to give it the great reviews it deserves because I want to keep it as our little secret! In many visits and menu choices at different times; never disappointed.
Super cozy place. Great place to chat and meet me friends.
