My initial impression was pretty great (minus the sub par beer and poor food menu - the food truck outside Pupusa is pretty good!) and I had only intended to be there for a beer.
I ended up being there longer and my experience quickly deteriorated when it became readily apparent that the afternoon bartender started to do coke or some other stimulant mid-shift. His demeanor went from friendly and professional to agitated, unfriendly, disorganized and SLOW. Dude was literally leaving the bar every 10min or so to take whatever drugs he was on. The negative energy was palpable.
The evening bartender was much nicer and clearly sober. Unfortunately, the afternoon bartender kinda ruined it!

Rude, unwelcoming, and indifferent staff. I was interrupted twice while asking clarifying questions; he was clearly bothered. Free tip: If you don’t have a beer available, take it off the menu; you can literally put some tape on the monitor so people don’t order it. Primera y última vez✌️

Raices is a great place to celebrate. Our group celebrates birthdays all the time. If you are looking for a quiet place to socialize then do not go on a Friday or Saturday night. The outdoor patio during warm weather is an option. They have a variety of beers and drinks as well as non alcoholic options. We love Raices!!!

Great place for Friday or Saturday dancing. If you are looking for a quiet place, this would not be it on those days. Great live bands and plenty of space to dance. The beer choices are great and now they have hard liquor as well. I have been coming here for years and always enjoy! Thank you, Jose and Tamil!

The venue was nice and staff was okay, but it was phenomenally loud. While here for 2.5 hours in the daytime on a Sunday, they turned up the volume FOUR times. It was impossible to have any kind of conversation, and the edges and outside were extremely saturated with people because everyone was trying to escape the noise.
0/10, do not recommend for any kind of socializing or community gathering. But if you'd like to leave with a migraine and damaged hearing, then this is the place to go.
