I have to give this place a shout out because they have the most consistently nice and welcoming baristas out of almost any nearby coffee shop.

The server didn't ask what size I wanted and defaulted to a 20oz size. Coffee was mid and so the package beans there have are all dated at least one month or more in the past for the roast date. Tourist trap; overpriced with a nice atmosphere for folks who can't differentiate good coffee. Save your money and go to Starbucks.

Best prices for cafe food in town!
I went out of my way to come here at 7am on a Thursday before work and it’s closed. Despite me checking the hours online saying it opens at 6:30am and the sign on the door saying opens at 6:30am. So disappointing.
Amazing coffee
Amazing vibe on a Sunday morning

For me the service and atmosphere were great but the drinks and pastries are bad🥲 personally think their espresso is on the bitter side and not very balanced but maybe just my preference!

Sucks to see these bad reviews, because my experience was great. Perhaps they had a bad employee at the time. It was my first time in and the girl operating the counter was excellent. One off? Nope, she treated everyone the same. I entered in mid-september around 10: 30am so after the morning rush but she was helpful and knowledgeable I thought she owned the place. Also, the pastry display has soooo many good options. The pumpkin chocolate chip was awesome. My egg sandwich....eh I'd skip that. It's quite bland.

I hate to leave such a review on a local business, but I’ve attempted red silo multiple times and I’ve had the last straw. 1) oat milk is an additional $1.5 which is extreme pricing for the alternative milk market. 2) I asked for an oat milk matcha and essentially paid about $9 for 12oz of oat milk. See picture below for coloring. There’s the slightest hint of green but I for sure cannot taste matcha. I recognize the typical proportions that make up a matcha latte, I know milk is primary. I realized this error after leaving (morning commute and all) and this experience literally left a bad taste in my mouth. Edit: it was not busy so it being a mistake is highly unlikely.
Red Silo Coffee is a Denver favorite with locations around the metro area, and their new Platte Street spot did not disappoint. The space is cozy and welcoming, perfect for catching up with friends or grabbing coffee on the go.
I tried the Orange Creamsicle Espresso Tonic (so refreshing!), Iced Ube Matcha, and an Iced Chai Latte with oat milk. The pastries were just as good—the almond croissant and cinnamon roll were flaky and delicious. The gluten-free vegan chocolate espresso bundt cake was surprisingly rich and moist, and the carrot bundt was flavorful too.
Great coffee, tasty treats, and friendly service. Definitely a must-visit!
