I was hoping for a cozy German restaurant ambiance and this felt like a sports bar. Loud pop music, big tvs, loud people. We got a heaping plate of food and it was good, the meat was on the overdone side. Brownies were hard. Our server barely checked in and never refilled our waters.
This restaurant is great! What a vibe! We had the smorgasbord between three people and it was more than enough. Very tasty too. The Apfel apertif was excellent. Had beer and the Apple strudel for dessert. All great :) definitely worth a visit
I think overall it was a great experience, my family and I love schnitzel and it's hard to find a family-oriented place here with good food. I think what could use some work is the amount of food you get for the price. You get one piece of schnitzel with half a cup of mashed potatoes on a small plate for $23, you get half a pretzel for $7 and for a kids brat you get the size of a breakfast sausage link. It just seems the portions are off. Again overall it was a great experience...
