I only eat Brisket..... And this is one of the top Brisket BBQ places in all of Colorado. Great Bark and melt in your mouth fatty brisket. Also great Tap Beer Selection.

My husband and I drove from Cheyenne, Wyoming after seeing a mouth-watering Instagram ad — and holy brisket, was it worth it.
We ordered enough food to feed a small militia: brisket, pork belly, pork ribs al pastor, Texas sausage, pit beans, mac and cheese, and Mexican key lime pie. Every bite melted in our mouths like a slow-motion food commercial. The sauces? Absolute fire. The pickled veggies? Spicy perfection. The Jamaica agua fresca was so good we didn’t even bother trying it with lemonade like Joseph — cashier, pit boss, and certified BBQ hype man — suggested.
Joseph and the crew were ridiculously nice, making us feel like regulars even though we were clearly out-of-towners on a meat pilgrimage. Despite the windy day, the patio was perfectly shielded, music was rolling, and a band was setting up — but we had to head home before the show (our only regret, besides not ordering a second round of pork belly).
Riot BBQ, you’ve officially ruined all other barbecue for us. It was stoooooopid good. If Wyoming ever legalizes this kind of smoke, we’ll riot to bring you north. 🔥🐮🍖

Sampled a number of dishes with a group of friends. All of them were tasty and delicious. Brisket, pulled pork, sausage, burnt ends, ribs, turkey. Sweet tea paired well with the meal. Kudos on the bannana pudding as well. Most places dont do this southern treat justice, but this one was done right!

For the hype and the price, extremely overrated for the quality. The brisket portion was literally half inedible fat. Easily the biggest disappointment of the meal. The house BBQ sauce variety was underwhelming as well. The $9 (single) taco was drowned in salsa and smothered in way too much cilantro. The cornbread itself was good, the ‘elote’ topping wasn’t. When the side of Mac n cheese is the only thing that knocked it out of the park on a $50 ticket, that’s enough to get me to not come back.

Meats are as good a BBQ as I have had, and the sides are an awesome twist on tradition.

Insanely good. As a pitmaster for years this place blew me away! They use oak food apparently which is awesome and different cuz im used to using cherry or apple. Either way, so good and a very knowledgeable staff A+++

Finally got to try the place for lunch. Brisket, cornbread, banana pudding.
The brisket, although expensive, was the real deal. As soon as I saw it I knew it would be good. Slow smoked, sliced, fat fully rendered, ultra juicy, great bark. It's what I've been searching for since I tried barbeque in Texas a few years ago. The cornbread is amazing as well. I don't think I'll be able to go to another barbeque spot for a while. Top notch. Can't wait to try more.

I'm happy that this restaurant took over AJ's. What I liked the most is the variety of dishes on the menu. There are a lot of unique items that I think works very well for a BBQ restaurant.
Lets start with what I liked the most, the Brisket Cheesesteak and the mexican key lime pie (or Dulce De Leche Carlota). The cheesesteak is packed with flavors and has a decent amount of brisket, add their GOLD sauce to it and enjoy. Leave the banana pudding and get the Mexican key lime pie, its so good.
Other great dishes would be the Brisket tacos and the cornbread which was probably my favorite side in a BBQ restaurant. Their fatty brisket is also good but its tough when you taste the briskets in Austin Texas, almost nothing comes close to them.
The chicken taco was OK but I probably would not order it again unless Im looking for something with lower calories.
Overall if you enjoy BBQ food here in Denver, give this a try.

Grew up in kc, been in colorado for 10 years, I have not found a spot in colorado better than this. Mega impressed. Sides are sides (cornbread was unique and delicious), the meat is the star of the show. Don't get there too late or you'll run out of options fast.
