Recently, I've been looking for barbecue places to visit here in the Denver area. My luck hasn't been that great. Roaming Buffalo BBQ has been on my list for a couple of months now, and I had the opportunity to go and see if it was as good as it looked. It didn't disappoint! Of course, I had to get the two meat plate and chose to go with brisket on the fat side as well as pork ribs. The brisket was absolutely tender and literally melted in my mouth. The pork ribs were great and were very meaty. I had an opportunity to speak with, the man who smokes the meat and he lets the brisket go for 16 hours at less than 200° so you can only imagine why it's so tender now! I have to say my favorite side was the cilantro lime coleslaw, which is just a flavor explosion with red pepper, cilantro, lime, kale, cabbage you name it! And one more thing, they aren't called Roaming Buffalo just cause it's a cool name, but you might want to try their Buffalo ribs too. This little gem of a restaurant is located just west of DU and north of Dartmouth and Yale. They open at 11 typically and are usually closed some time between two and four depending on how fast they run out of food. Check them out; the owners are very kind and won't leave you disappointed.

A little hole in the wall BBQ with some amazing flavor in their brisket. I ordered the brisket as well as Mac & Cheese to eat there. Service was quick once the order was placed. They came around to ask how it was and if everything was good. The amount of brisket was more than enough for another meal. My only complaint: they put spicy chopped up Cheetos or Takis on the Mac and cheese- that is not my flavor. Once I scooped that out the rest was good. I used the sweet bbq and enjoyed the flavor.

Best BBQ I've had in Denver so far. Good value for the amount of food as well. Had the brisket (moist) and pork ribs. Both quite good. BBQ sandwiches were that day's special as well and an excellent value! Employees very polite too! Will be back!

Happened to be right next to RB today. Thought I'd stop in and grab a couple of rocky road brownies for dessert this evening. What a mistake and waste of money. Both brownies were extremely dry and just crumbled everywhere. We took a few bites and threw them away. It's definitely not the quality we had a few years ago. Really disappointed.

our first visit to the south Downing location. Love that it was nestled into the neighborhood, small and quaint, very friendly staff. We enjoyed the buffalo ribs, the andouille, sausage grits, and the brisket. Reuben was excellent. And we can't leave out the caramelized banana pudding. Great place to go we will be back.

Ok the brisket here had really good flavor but why are there only a few spots here in Denver that know how to serve sliced brisket . the bark is supposed to stay attached to the meat not get a pile of meat that looks like it was half chopped ... the beans were bomb and the pork belly burnt ends were

This is one of the better BBQ places I’ve tried in Denver! The bison ribs were very flavorful, so were the traditional ribs and the brisket also did not disappoint. The prices seemed very fair especially for the portion sizes. The staff and service were excellent. Yes the restaurant is smaller but it has a local neighborhood vibe and is very welcome. We definitely plan on going back to try out one of the sandwiches next!

You like BBQ? You need to drop by Roaming Buffalo BBQ. We got the Brisket Sandwich, Pulled Pork and wings and all were really great. I would say this place is Top Tier in Denver metro. The Classic BBQ sauce was mild but you won’t miss any spice kick because it is rich and well balanced. Beans had a kick to them and were great. Cilantro-Lime Coleslaw was the best coleslaw I ever tasted in my life!! Definitely coming back to try more sides and grab some dessert and try some ribs which were sold out on Friday by the time we got there. Put Roaming Buffalo on your list and enjoy the small joint atmosphere and fill up on some tasty Q
