Steak and eggs paired with the carrot cake French toast was amazing, I’d add pictures but the food was so good I ate it too quick. 10/10 service and environment I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new food experience.

A restaurant living in it's own world. Some good items and many unusual items.

I'm only sharing this because I'm moving out of the area, but Root Down is secretly the best brunch spot in LoHi. The food is delicious, the bottomless mimosas are well priced and genuinely bottomless, and there usually isn't too much of a wait to get in.

I went to Route Down for brunch on Sunday and loved it. They open at 10, and we had reservations, which made it super easy to get settled in. Our waiter was genuinely lovely, and the service felt attentive without hovering, plus we were never rushed.
I ordered an Americano, the veggie tofu scramble, and a side of hash browns, and everything was delicious. The menu feels like classic brunch favorites with a slight twist, more elevated than basic diner food, but still very reasonably priced.
The atmosphere is wonderful, and it has that perfect neighborhood bar/restaurant vibe where you want to linger and come back. Highly recommend!

Globally inspired comfort food that somehow still feels grounded. Shared a few plates and everything was balanced and fun without being weird. Busy, colorful room with good energy, and service that keeps things moving. One of those places where ordering “one more thing” feels inevitable.

I love root down. The atmosphere is great. The food is wonderful and I love all of the fun and interesting twists they put on each of their menu items.
Pros: allergy friendly, gorgeous presentation, very interesting food.
Cons: expensive for the portions, service was too casual, not enough explaining the dishes.
The service feels casual for the prices, and the portions are much smaller than I would like. My table got three appetizers and a meal each and shared two desserts as a party of five and none of us were super full by the time we left. The steak could have been twice as big and the appetizers were very small, each person got a couple bites.
Also, If I’m paying $70- $100 a person, and the menu has so many details, I want my food to be brought out and explained, so I can understand all the intricacies of it and the flavors, I also want the service to match how interesting the food is and for the waitress to explain the dishes. I found myself having to ask for more details a lot.
I like this place, I’d probably go for happy hour and make my experience more casual, but I would think twice before going there for a special occasion again.
Overall we were happy just not exceedingly.
Thank you all!

Have been here multiple times for dinner and brunch, but ~2 years ago. Was excited to try it again but unfortunately, it has really gone downhill. Our food was brought out immediately and was cold and pretty tasteless. My biscuit was stale, although my husband's was okay. Won't return.

What a culinary experience! If you are interested in something different yet outstanding, this is it! my new favorite restaurant in Denver! Try the rockfish Thom Ka, the chef is just playing your senses and the flavors, amazing and very unique. It far exceeded my already high expectations. And the drinks too have these unique flavors to them made by true craftsmen. Kudos!

Server was nice and attentive. Food was mediocre at best. I remember loving this place years ago. Crazy it's been open about 20 years. Been here quite a few times in the past but it had been a while. Ordered the sweet potato tots, devils on horseback, scallops and risotto. The bacon was burned with the devils on horseback, scallops didn't taste fresh or were previously frozen. Nor were they scored and seared properly. risotto was decent, very rich. Tots were ok as well, crunchy but wet mush inside. i know sweet potato can be prepared to have more of an airy texture. $120 for two with one glass of wine. i do have expectations of a somewhat elevated experience at this price point. I probably won't patronize Root Down again.
Great brunch! Kid friendly too.
We went in for dinner the other night and got 3 things to share: loaded potato gnocchi, devils on horseback and the rockfish tom kha. All the dishes were so good and the flavors blended so well together! Our server split the tom kha into 2 so the picture shown is half the dish. Definitely will be back to try out more things on the menu 😋
