Really had a great time here; loved the atmosphere and attention to design in the restaurant, everything felt relaxed. Staff were incredibly friendly and focused on vegan options. Food was delicious, fresh ingredients, and very thoughtful.

Went to Sunday brunch with a few friends and it was not the best. They describe their eggs as fluffy…they are rectangular logs and seem like they were microwaved. I got burrito but in a bowl. The chorizo tasted fine but it did not look appetizing, looked like baby food. Coffee was good. Vegan queso was tasty. Not sure I’d go back, didn’t seem worth the money.

Medium done burger was well done, hard bun. No pay with phone, they take your card to the back which is a security concern

Get the Rock Fish Tom Kha! Omg, it was so good. An explosion of flavors and textures. Nice service and fun atmosphere.

A beautiful spot for brunch. From the comfy bar seating, to the laid back music selection.
A simple menu that takes initiative to try something new with a brunch classic. We had the Mushroom and Herb Omelette and the Pakora Benedict. Both had incredible balance to a deep level of flavor. For drinks we tried a Bloody which included a great skewer of pickled vegetables and a great heat. A cortado with oat milk from the coffee bar was very good as well, though the shot was a bit bitter.
Finished with the recommended banana cream pie with a candle to celebrate a birthday.
All very surprisingly delicious, and leaves you wanting to come back and try another new dish next time. Annie behind the bar was warm and welcoming. 9.5/10

Dietary restrictions: Anything on the menu can be made gluten free, a big win for us. Most allergens are clearly dictated on the menu and the staff is very knowledgeable on ingredients.

The cubano bennidict was amazing, and Gege is super helpful on meal choices and has a great vibe! Also the espresso martini was well ballanced and not over powering. Delightful experience all the way around!

This place is awesome! Popped in on a quick trip back to Denver for the mountains and had another great experience. Thanks to Annie, Barb, and Tiffany!

Please stop tacking on a bunch of hidden check fees.

Just increase the cost of the items on the menu instead. It's not a big deal to see a $15 set of tacos go to $16. But a ton of random charges on the bottom of the bill feels less transparent (I really have to read the fine print to find out how much something costs at a restaurant!? and also feels like you're passing on the buck of running a responsible business -- just pay people well, they'll then treat me well, and I'll then come back -- it's about that easy).

"3% surcharge will be applied to all checks to help us manage the increased cost of goods, services, supply chain issues, and the health & safety of our staff & guests"

"You will notice a 5% Fair Wage & Benefits surcharge added to your check. Why? In the spirit of transparency, this 5% helps us continue to support and fortify many of our employee benefits. We are endlessly thankful and grateful for your support of our employee-owned and independently operated restaurants."

Came with three people and split a bunch of things: short rib, chicken two ways, scallops, arepas, and the devils. Everything was good—the short rib was my favorite; it came with some perfectly cooked carrots and great sauces.

Root Down is amazing! I went there for the first time last night (for X-Mas Eve dinner) and was blown away from the second we walked in the door! The hosts, the wait staff, the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere- all spectacular!! Such a treat and I cannot wait to go back!! If you enjoy fresh, colorful, electric flavors in a cheerful, well oiled machine- this is your place!

Great food, amazing interior and service. But beware, they add a 5% service charge on your bill with no prior warning.
