If you want to sin coz of gluttony this is the place to go. GOD WILL understand everything is amazing!

This is definitely a gem, very nice staff, excellent food, and really creative cocktails for a reasonable price. Get the crab salad, eggplant, breadrolls, wash it down with the banana julep and bitter melon sazerac.

The food and service were excellent. My friend has a bunch of food allergies at the moment. The server and kitchen went above and beyond to make sure she had options . The cocktails are awesome as well!

Delightful experience! Fabulous food, friendly staff, and creative cocktails. Cannot recommend the West Indies Crab Salad highly enough!

Absolutely fabulous food and service. Well priced for such quality. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any dish. Standouts for us were the tart, eggplant, broccolini and catfish. Awesome servers and bartenders.

Cocktails were inspiring, but the food left something to be desired. Some dishes are simply okay, while others are so much more refined and hit a different level. That blue cheese tart belongs in a hall of tame though. Service was fantastic - some hiccups along the way but the team did a great job making up for it.

We had a fantastic time at Rougarou! We went for a birthday and they were so accommodating and celebratory. The music was great, inside decor was awesome, and the food was amazing! We loved it and want to tell everyone about it. Incredible please, we will be back!

The dining room was noisy with loud music. The food was so so. Overall, not impressed for the price.

Exceptional. Amazing food, cocktails and service. As elevated southern food, it was priced very appropriately too. Will definitely be going back.

A very much anticipated dinner due to glowing reviews on the food from friends. The food was definitely outstanding. The pickled shrimp was out of this world, and buttercream pie was heavenly. The service was subpar and a major factor in our unlikely return. It was off-putting and lacked the professionalism one would expect from the price tag. Service was slow but somehow also rushed, and sloppy. No serving utensils, table wasn't refreshed or crumbed, waters were basically empty the entire meal, food was dropped off with no explanation as to what was being presented, no inquiries were made about allergies or dietary restrictions, and the server just had an overall inhospitable approach to service. We also were charged for a dessert we did not order. Overall, a $700+ experience cheapened by the lack of feeling welcomed. Disappointing.

Loved this new gem! The food and cocktails were delicious and surprising. Im still thinking about the blue cheese tart. It was a little loud, found ourselves repeating/shouting, but it was energetic, especially for this sleepy block. Already planning our return.

Blue cheese tart, Grandad’s chicken, catfish, collards… Great addition to the Denver dining scene. And always excited to see good people doing great things.

So..... its a cute spot don't get me wrong, and maybe its just what we ordered (Chicken, Pork Shoulder, Catfish Dip)...but the food was not good.

Especially when you compare the food itself to what's at offer in other restaurants in the area. The staff was sweet, and the vibe was great, but the food was just...... not... it.

I left confused and disappointed.

Everything was so amazing. The best service.
The sesame crackers with the pimento cheese were so good. The cocktails, catfish, tart, and chicken on a stick were also amazing!! I can’t wait to order the whole menu. And they serve food late night. My gawd.

We were so excited to try Rougarou, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The service was a delight, the environment is elevated but very approachable and lively, and the food…the FOOD!! So good! We especially loved the benne rolls, the sea island red peas, the collard green salad, and — my favorite — the sorghum sundae. Rougarou is really a wonderful and welcome new addition to Denver’s food scene, and I can’t wait to come back.
