Rude customer service. Went to guest services at 3 pm to ask a question and they said they were closed and treated me poorly. Will never come back.

what's the point of the express line, when it is not accessible to EVERY customer in the store?

Door Dashers beware, you are subjected to a 1 star review and loss of priority status due to tardiness like i was when shopping at this store. I was stopped from going to self check out by security and was told i had to sit in a longer checkout line because i had 1 item from this section of the store that was built for highly stolen items. I had a 40 dollar order it was 3 items, cat food, ibuprofen, and powder mixes that go into water. I have Door Dashed at this store more than 5 times in the last 2 weeks and each time i have shopped an item from this particular section of the store, never have i been spoken to about taking items from this particular area of the store and checking out elsewhere. Mind you its busy in the afternoon this particular area of the store has two checkout lines, one of which was closed. Granted the other register opened up but it took me more than 5 minutes including the wait, to check out on an order that only took me less than 5 minutes to shop.

why hasn't the store designated an area just for the independent contractors? it would be nice if there was 1 checkout lane and a couple of self-check outs available only to the independent contractors; because just like everyone else, we are trying to get in and out of there as well; we got other orders to accept and deliver; we don't get paid like the Safeway employees to sit around and exist while on social media, we can lose money and have to work harder to make up for that 1 bad review we got because the customer doesn't want to hear, " sorry i am 10 minutes late with your order the store was busy"...

This Safeway is killing it in a tougher part of town. We love unSafeway, but skip the customer service desk unless you have tons of time to wait in line. And now with more carts!

Went there specifically for the deli as Costco is cheaper and better otherwise but doesn't have a deli. Was surprised to see they had the person from the deli leave to do other stuff and they told me I couldn't get anything from the deli. Will not be coming back.

I had a phenomenal time at Polaris, even though it was only a year. The teachers are great, the materials are great, and the attitude is great.

The worst service ive ever experienced. Was ignored by the service desk . Had to scream across the store to use the bathroom. No one would help me and i wont put up with it. Ill make it known that your not helping me. I spent 120 dollars on food and if i had a choice id go elseware. Id rather do without Everyone that works there needs an attitude adjustment.

Just went back for - more frustration. 4 of the 8 items I was purchasing were on sale and none of them scanned right. The Safeway guy at "quick" checkout shrugged his shoulders and complained that "this happens all the time and then HE has to hear everyone complain. This place is a disorganized frustrating hell-hole and I'm really done this time.

Last time - Watch the prices when you check out. Something ALWAYS rings up for more than it's supposed to but today I had 5 items and EVERY SINGLE ONE rang up for more than the posted price. I left everything at the checkout and walked out the door. It stinks that this is the only close grocery store close to me but I'm done with this place.

Worst interaction I have ever had in a retail setting.

I was trying to buy some Pine-Sol, but when I went to scan the bottles, the self-checkout machine alerted that “assistance is needed with this item.” Okay.

Some short woman in a mask with a weird name on her name tag like “AK” or something like that walked up, hit a couple buttons, and muffled some gibberish at me through a mask. She then walked over to another employee, who took off somewhere, and then said nothing else to me and went about her business.

I noticed that the self-checkout line was getting long and the next people in line looked impatient, so I put the Pine-Sol bottles in the cart (unbagged) with the rest of my groceries (bagged) and moved the cart out of them way. I then paid for all the groceries that i’d scanned and walked back over to my cart, intending to wait for help.

Idiot employee then rushes to my cart and grabs the Pine-Sol as if I were trying to shoplift. I asked how I was supposed to pay for them, and she gets an attitude and walks off with the Pine-Sol and hides it as if she’s some sort of authority figure making $11/hour.

The other employee who walked away five minutes previously returned with a totally different product for me too scan, clearly confused about what was going on. I guess the idiot employee muffled to her in gibberish as well.

I ended up having to leave without my last item, causing me to have to spend another half hour of my day shopping, which I didn’t have time for.

I know it’s hard to find employees these days and I know that adults working in roles that are essentially door-greeters generally aren’t the brightest people, but really? You guys can’t do better than that person?

It’s a shame that this is the only grocery store within walking distance of my residence. The parking lot is constantly overrun by drug users and homeless and multiple police officers, in addition to store security are needed on site at all times. One of the smaller Safeways in Denver, items often out of stock. The three stars are for the staff whom are always friendly and welcoming, despite what they have to deal with.

So many better Safeway Customer Service rude would rather talk to AI than that girl behind the counter at 9 o’clock in the morning. You have to self check out they don’t even have a register open. I’m giving this one star only because they have food.

Based on my first visit, it was something special. I was amazed how high the prices were in comparison to come other stores around the area, but I feel this is more of a convenience factor than anything because I don’t know of any other groceries stores that are within a walkable distance of my living area. The store had a Starbucks and that’s always a plus in some manner.

Now, let’s talk about the experience. The cosmetics, first aid, and infant care are located in an area with one exit. This couple (apparently, based on the guard), went into the store and was trying to pick up a plastic bag left by another customer. The couple picked up the bag and the guard stopped them asking for them to remove the items from the bag that the other individual who left it had dropped off a few minutes ago. The young teen came up with some excuse looking for something else and her boyfriend was apologizing repeatedly. She let them go and I see nothing wrong with that since they were still in the store.

Now, you are probably wondering why I told this story. First, it lets me know from being my first experience that the guards are on top of their game and are there to keep the store safe and hopefully the customers safe as well. I’ve been in the store many times after that and I haven’t experienced any issues. Everyone has been friendly and jokes around with me if it’s the right person. I give it four stars because there are still many homeless people outside the building. I have nothing wrong with this, but I’m try to help people when I have the money. If someone comes up and ask me for something, I try to help. The other day, a homeless guy asked me for bologna and soda. I took him into the store and bought him what he asked because it doesn’t hurt to help people.

Overall, great experience. Sorry for the rant, but I felt it was important to tell because it was my overall experience.
