The sales I've selected on the app don't work for between one and three items every week.
I usually have an okay experience at this location. However, today was terrible. The lady at bakery, who claimed to be ‘head of bakery’ named ‘D’ was short and didn’t want to do her job. I usually come in the morning to pick up fresh French bread. I asked her if there were any fresh ones in the oven so that I can wait and pick it up. She didn’t even call the upstairs bakery to check or anything. She pretended to call someone and told me, the ones out are put out this morning. I asked someone else and they were so kind and checked upstairs for me. She ran after them and came back with that individual to tell me it’ll take “45 minutes” to make fresh French bread. Her lack of knowledge and patience is uncalled for. She could’ve done better with her customer service.
Their “store within a store” is as dehumanizing as it is ill conceived. I’ve been told it saves Safeway $1000 a day to secure its high value items in a special retaining area. I however spend $3,000-$5,000 a month at this location and it’s lost me as a customer forever. I wouldn’t be shocked if the base level of harassment implicit in frequenting this location costs them minimum 10-15 customers like myself. That doesn’t sound like a lot until you realize that a small dip in profit like this is exactly the thing Kroger-Albertsons is going to consider when deciding whether to keep this Safeway or the King Soopers across the streets. I hope the manager who thought up this nonsense enjoys her pink slip.
Used to be my favorite safeways. Hopefully will be my favorite Safeways again.
It was not crowded, had many decent choices, only dilemma was how to be a member
Go to this store all the time. Lately they’ve blocked off three aisles with a separate checkout for any items in these three aisles, completely unnecessary store within a store making it way more inconvenient to get any sort of health items, trash bags, normal grocery store stuff. I’m not checking out twice to get everything I need, I’ll start going somewhere else. Completely asinine change to the store, I’ve never seen anything like it.
Worst store in Denver. Rude cashiers, pointed out wrong price, they were rude and then accused me of being rude. False advertising, bait and switch and elder abuse is practiced at this store. Shop elsewhere if you can. Vote with your $$$.
This place is usually a totally serviceable grocery store, my girlfriend and I shop here all the time, but I went in to get literally just a pound of shrimp from the meat counter today, and waited for over an hour before anyone came to help me, even after the butcher counter was paged four times.
The lady of the customer service is rude! There is definitely nothing worse for any supermarket chain than people like her, definitely the worst experience I've had! Hopefully and they fire her because it is impossible for someone to receive that treatment from someone like her!
flies on the donuts in the bakery section, yum!

This morning, I had an employee named Lou be extremely rude to me about exiting the store from the produce entrance the same entrance I entered the store from and made me walk too the front
When I walked back to the produce entrance to get to my bike the entrance automatically opened... so naturally I tested to see if the exit opened... it did.
If the produce entrance isn't going to be accessible during business hours at least make sure EVERYONE is aware of the doors operating hours, or you know when the store is open allow the produce entrance to be fully accessible during business hours morning and night.
Also is a entrance during operation hours not being accessible a safety hazard when it comes to fires and or mass shootings?
Kinda very not ok.
Had the best customer shopping experience there.
The difference in my shopping experience was customer service.
Went first to King Soopers just across the street and felt no customer service whatsoever from the Deli Dept..
Went across the street to this Safeway and the Deli staff who I later found out was the Deli Manager, Marquita Cooper, understood my predicament and made it possible to help me.
The difference?
It's how things are spoken and the manner of delivery. To top it all, I somehow knew, what I was requesting for was doable but, there's the difference of a true and real Manager.
So, Safeway and Ms. Cooper of the Deli Dept., I thank you and commend you for your excellent service!
This place is the worst
Placed an order for delivery two days ago that was to be delivered yesterday. It was never delivered, I couldn't get a hold of the store, called was put on hold and hung up on each time and the Safeway app customer service also couldn't get a hold of the store. I will not be shopping here any longer, the folks that work here seem to hate their job and even the GM just stares off into space and scowls at people. Save yourself time and the headache and shop elsewhere!
Zack provided excellent customer service went above and beyond I will be coming back to shop because of that thank you Zack
