Waited for over an hour and another hour to get food. Wish this was a better experience and wish the food was worth the wait. Had the pimento chicken biscuit. Just okay. Cool place on a beautiful street in the highlands. Disappointing service and quality of food.

Delicious lavender mocha. The hollandaise was incredible! Crabcakes were the best I've ever had.

My ol' reliable when friends are visiting or I'm picking someone up from the airport or basically when I'm around the area and fiending something ultra delicious. Every thing on the menu is to die for, kissed with Southern love, and unique in many ways. I feel like I've had most of the main menu items but I still find myself surprised at how good every entree tastes at the first bite. Also absolutely love the bloody Mary options!

The staff was great and it's an interesting place, but the food was just whelming. Had the bison hash with jalapeno cornbread and it was just kinda bland.

My partner is a return customer every time he visits Denver, and said this place is a must try!!
It was my first time and it was exquisite. We both got the chicken fried steak and truffle Mac. It was excellent. Highly recommend the truffle Mac!!
Our server, Tomas was super friendly and sweet. Even the owner, Michael came by to say hello and chatted with us.
Highly recommend this spot for brunch!!

Bummed about our experience because the food was delicious. We got our drinks and an app pretty quickly but then waited an hour and a half for our entrees. It took so long that we all asked for the food to go instead. Our server seemed kind of aloof and didn’t really acknowledge the long wait time. Other tables came and went before we ever got our food and we were only a party of 4. Not sure what happened but not a great first experience here.

Dinner!!! We aren’t from Denver but some of our family lives here. We went to a pizza place across the street that they hadn’t been to before because we had some little ones. They had a little bit of a wait and we noticed that Sassafras was open across the street for dinner. Apparently, it has generally been known for a very popular brunch spot. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the whole dinner experience. Our server Trevor was patient with the little ones and the adults. 😆
Everything we had was beyond our expectations and we were thrilled that we decided to come here. The ambiance also leaves nothing to be desired, SO SO freaking cool. One of the owners , Michael, was there also and he was able to tell us about the house and its history. Our experience was 10/10 no whammies.
