Disappointed with the dinner we experienced. The cavatappi we had was tasteless and could have been improved by adding some fresh herbs . The prices have increased by charging separately for chicken, fish or beef.. This is the second time in the last two months we have left feeling the quality of food has diminished in the past year. The wait staff was excellent.

So bummed they ran out of peach cobbler. My meal was delicious nonetheless. I got the cheese tortellini special with their spicy rosa sauce😉.

We come here often especially for happy hour. The wine pours are generous. Ask for Maria's section! She knows us well and puts our order in as soon as she sees us walk in the door. Try the salmon, and the chicken parmigiana. We also like some of the other items, but these are our usuals when we come early. The tiramisu is great. We've tried some of the other desserts, but this is our favorite. Their steak is also good. We like the bolognese, but when we come here, we stick with our standbys, and besides that, Maria assumes we'll always order the same thing. The new chef is much better. In the past, the marinara was too watery. This chef makes it thicker and richer. It's a great spot to come often, and we always feel like we're coming home... Eric (best busser/team - always toasts our fresh loaf of bread).

This was our first visit and it far exceeded our expectations. Jaymys, our server was outstanding. He was a good listener and made great recommendations. My wife and I had the appetizer special, the Farfalle special along with a very good Caesar Salad. If you find yourself anywhere near Denver Botanic Gardens or just want to go to a quaint Italian restaurant, I highly recommend Shells and Sauce... and, be sure to request Jaymys as your Server.

We loved sitting on the patio-perfect evening and atmosphere. Reservations, seated quickly. Prompt table service. Please try the crab cakes, wedge salad with grilled chicken and the salmon entree. Amazing! So good! Our server and her support staff were the bomb. This is a neighborhood restaurant, it's not a chain. Cute, walkable area just north of Cherry Creek. One of Congress Park's gems for sure!
