10 dollars for a white bread sandwich and a small soda?

The food is horrible even though I try something new every time. Plus it’s crazy expensive and they are taking advantage of the location as it’s the only place to eat in NC building. I hope the university closes them down because they are ripping people off.

This used to be a convenient option with decent food and not exorbitant prices to pick up a quick meal. Unfortunately, the food quality has gone down and the prices up in the last year making it a much less desirable spot.

I got the “pulled chicken sandwich” it was literally cubed meat (no sauce or seasoning) with a slice of swiss cheese and some arugula on a soggy bun (for 15 dollars of course). Genuinely do not eat here unless you are getting some sort of pre packaged food or something from the soda fountain. The people who work there are generally very nice though!

Had I known this is what I’d get for $14.00, I definitely would have just gone hungry. Shame on this establishment for charging our students so much, for terrible food. I’m not sure how you justify a $12.99 salad for what amounts to about 2 slices of avocado, some clumpy congealed bits of bacon, about 10 pre-cubed out-of-a-bag pieces of chicken and 2 soggy tomato slices. And the cheddar-ish shreds of cheese were so dry they were literally crunchy. Come on Auraria, you can do better than this for our community. “Simply Not-Fresh” is more honest. No wonder the place was empty at lunch time today. My mistake. One I will not repeat.

Insanely overpriced for unseasoned, tasteless, cold food. I avoid this place at all cost.
Only good for drinks and packed food like chips otherwise they charge way too much for the sandwich go to subway instead it’s nearby and value for money
I really wish that there were a way to not let these people charge so much for food on campus. The prices are absolutely obscene given how little food you get. I've gotten BLTs that had two pieces of bacon that I paid over ten dollars for. That and most of the time I would say the food is okay at best.I have had some good experiences with really nice folks that work here, and I actually really enjoy their local and natural sodas, but that's about it. I don't eat here unless I'm truly desperate, which is sad since it's one of the closest places to eat as a UCD student.

Charged me for a plastic fork. I'm surprised they didn't also charge for the oxygen.

if food poisoning is what your looking for you are at the right place
This place should not be on a college campus. They charge way too much for very little food. Most of the people on the campus are not trust fund kids. What little food I got was $17 dollars. I'm used to paying that price for all you can eat places. They are just way out of touch with the population they are supposed to be serving and need kicked off campus. The food was average in taste, and below average in size. The two girls they had there were nice and can not control this place ripping off hungry students. That is the campus that needs to step up for students rights. Even as an employee on campus I chring on the prices so I can't imagine how bad the students fill. When I attended Metro there were many cheap options on campus like Taco Bell. Not the best food, but at least I could afford it as a student, fast and cheap is what it is needed. Reach out to the leaders at each of the schools and request cheaper food options. Or it may just be best to try and cross the street to get McDonalds if you think you can get across safely.
10/10 wouldn’t recommend unless you’re going to get something they don’t make there such as chips or a bottle of water. The food is overpriced and has an alright taste. The soup is extremely watered down, the grilled cheese wasn’t melted all the way and the workers are rude. I’ve eaten here before with a similar experience and thought I’d try it again but I was let down once again. Save your money and walk to the Tívoli. I’ve had baby food better than this.
The only convenient place to eat food on campus that’s not Qdoba and they have decent drip coffee I’ll give them that but the lack of basic cleanliness, poor food handling and complete lack of food safety is disturbing. Saw the cashier wiping off hair from her co workers jacket behind the counter right next to where food is being prepared. The only person working was the guy making my sandwich. Three other people were just messing around and violating so many health codes in a matter of minutes I almost didn’t eat. Sandwhich was okay but not worth the money unless you’re really hungry.TLDR: okay if in hurry/forgot lunch but sort of gross/really dirty where food being made/mishandled. Quality of food prepped mediocre. Okay selection of food/bevs.
Right-sized, right-priced sammiches! Glad I found this lunch counter, super nice staff and really quick for made-to-order food. A+
