Variety like I have never seen before! Menu offers so many choices that I had to venture beyond my tried and true favorites. I usually have Palak or Saag Paneer. I tried a different paneer and the honey curry. Chef noted my desire to stay on the mild spice side. The tandoori chicken wings were among the tops of my wings experience. If you are there for happy hour (starts at 3 pm), you must try them! I ordered a large amount of food so I’d have leftovers to take home.

With a 4.9 rating, I had high hopes for Spice Room, but unfortunately, the reviews were quite misleading. This was just an average Indian restaurant serving average food. The menu looked promising, and I was eager to try several dishes, but everything fell flat.

The Kurkuri Bhindi which was stated as the award winning dish in the menu was mediocre. The Spicy Room Indian pizza was an absolute disaster both in appearance and taste, like something made by a novice. The Malabar Curry didn’t resemble anything remotely close to Malabar flavors and had some leftover vegetables not even chopped properly. Dal Makhni was okayish.

To make matters worse, the service was intrusive and rushed. Our waitress repeatedly tried to clear our plates while we were still eating, coming back every two minutes. She even brought the check and card machine to our table while we were still eating as if she was in a hurry to get us out. We literally had to ask her to let us eat in peace.

I can see why someone unfamiliar with Indian food might enjoy this place, but as an Indian, it is not worth the hype.

They have the best pakoras, and the only truly gluten free ones I have found at a restaurant because they fry them separately. Everything we have tried here has been delicious, and all the servers are incredibly friendly. The beautiful mosaic glass lamps they have hanging everywhere in the restaurant are a feast for the eyes as well.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, safe pakoras

How is this place 4.9 stars?? This place is not for people who are familiar with South Asian cuisine. Everything felt like it was dipped (rather drowning) in turmeric... to the point where the food was inedible and we had to return it. South Asian/Indian food is not supposed to be drowning in turmeric!!

I ordered a Kathi Roll. Aside from drowning in turmeric, it contained shards of foil. If you are going to wrap something in foil and then cut it in half, maybe not cut with a serrated knife? Or at least check if the foil is getting in the food. There was a paper wrap inside the foil wrap of the kathi roll and it was soaked yellow with turmeric.

My wife ordered Hakka noodles and even that was overloaded with turmeric and had chunks of salt in places. How?? Why??

We left the place with unfinished food that we had to send back. This place is now the benchmark for us for bad food.

This place is AMAZING! Extremely flavorful and wonderful service. I was shocked at how affordable this place is especially after everything my boyfriend and I ordered. Absolutely 10/10. Please check this place out.
