Very unique fusion of Italian dishes with Indian flavors. I could tell the food was fresh and well-made, the flavors just weren't for me. We tried four different dishes knowing about the Indian influence but none of them really stuck out to us minus the focaccia and ricotta with the roasted garlic, that was delicious. A lot of the flavors just felt too strong for the dishes, which I will chalk up to my own personal taste. We did have great service and everybody was very friendly. Still happy we tried this place as we had been wanting to try for a while.

Wow Sputnino, thanks for a truly stellar experience! Our server, Matthew, and the rest of the team made us feel so special during our celebration, going above and beyond for everything. I can’t say enough kind words about the impeccable service or the amazing food. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and reminding us what a wonderful dining experience you can have with the right staff who care. Keep doing everything you are doing
Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding—clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients—and every dish we tried was delicious. The service was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend.

While the service here was great, I am so sad to post that I got food poisoning shortly after eating here. I had the focaccia, aranchinj and the Indian pasta. I started to expirience horrible stomach pain followed my nausea and diarrhea an hour after dinner and through the night. I’ve only ever gotten food poisoning from a restaurant out of the country. After reading some reviews it seems like there was 2 other people with a similar experience. I would definitely be weary of eating here if you have a sensitive stomach. It’s very unfortunate considering it’s a high end restaurant.

Kristin is the best! She is so knowledgeable on all the wine and food. Great energy all around.
Best meal, service, and dining experience my Wife and I had all week we were visiting the Denver area. Highly recommended!
Fantastic venue for a date night. The food was exceptional with vibrant notes of Indian spices carefully woven into each dish. But our waitress made the experience with how kind and helpful she was throughout our meal 10/10.

One of the most enjoyable meals I've ever had. I was sitting solo at the bar for dinner and was made to feel like a regular, both by the staff and actual regulars. That alone would be wonderful, but the food/drink were spectacular. I came to Spuntino to try Indian-Italian and it did not disappoint. Flavors I've never tasted before melded perfectly, particularly the elk tartare with ginger-garlic, toasted masala aioli and ajwain seed crisps, and the Casconcelli - roasted carrots and amaretti filled pasta with carrot butter and complimented perfectly with boozy black cherries. Warming Indian spices over Italian homemade pasta on a cold night was excellent. The cocktails are also notable - especially since they make many of their amaros and digestivis in house. The off the beaten path wine list is top-notch if you like obscure Italian varietals. Don't skip dessert - and drink it too. Get the flight of housemade digestivis and gelato.

Dinner unfolded as a thoughtful and deeply satisfying experience, marked by confident execution and a clear culinary point of view. Each dish demonstrated both technical skill and a willingness to blend influences without losing coherence.
The arancini was crisp on the exterior and creamy within and were enlivened by the green chile, well balanced by a bright cilantro-lime crema. The malai kofta gnocchi stood out for its ambition and restraint, very tender handmade dumplings paired well with the toasted cashews and an Indian-spiced tomato sauce that felt layered rather than heavy. The pappardelle, was generously coated in El Regalo Ranch goat ragù, was rustic in the best sense, finished with aged Pecorino that added depth without excess. The Giardino brought contrast and texture to the table. Each component felt intentional, and the dish read as composed rather than crowded.
We were graciously offered Tartufo al Cioccolato Guittard by the owner. They were exceptional, rich, balanced, and among the finest truffles I’ve had. As a food writer who has sampled versions across the country, this stood apart for its precision and restraint.
Hospitality matched the food. The owner was warm and generous with his time, sharing the story behind the restaurant and its concept, a collaboration he and his wife clearly approached with care. In a neighborhood already rich with strong dining options, this restaurant distinguishes itself as a true gem, one defined by creativity, execution, and heart. The experience was memorable and we will be back.

Good quality here seems to hang gone down hill which is sad, or perhaps we were just here on an off evening. Appetizers were yummy, but I had the lasagna which came out like warm and felt like simply a reheat with stale edges from a tray from the weekend. So sad! I love the vibe here so hope to try again and will maybe just choose something else!
Great food, great service; love that you can enjoy the experience and you are not rushed through it.
Wow. I think this is now officially in my top 5 favorite restaurants in Denver. Our dinner was incredible! Food was 12/10. The pork cheeks literally melt in your mouth. The pasta was insanely good. Definitely get the roasted garlic add-on to your ricotta - worth it. Service was also 12/10. Matthew provided us with excellent recommendations and service! The hostess (whose name I did not get) also provided top-notch service. Thinking about when I can come back. :)

In a word, underwhelming. We decided to try Spuntino after hearing some great things, but the experience left much to be desired. For starters, it was super cramped. You're basically rubbing elbows with the tables next to you. The food was okay. Nothing really stood out, but it wasn't flavorless. It's not very traditional Italian dishes, but that's not going to surprise Italians. The food was fine. The service was honestly where they lost us. We felt very rushed the whole time and, ironically, the servant seemed to be displeased by how much we were ordering. We could definitely detect the smug vibes other commenters have mentioned. At various times the staff came by and just dropped little cardboard to-go containers in the middle of the table for us to box up our food. Super classy. 🙄
