The Squire is such a cool dive bar — exactly what you hope for in a neighborhood spot. It’s laid-back, unpretentious, and has that perfect dive bar vibe without trying too hard. The drinks are cheap, the bartenders are friendly, and the atmosphere makes it easy to relax and have a good time.
If you’re looking for a spot in Denver that feels local and fun, this is it. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Music based bar with Colfax and history at its heart. Bartenders are friendly and is a watering hole for locals. Surrounding can be a bit seedy but don’t step past this oasis :)

If I could give 0 stars I would ! Last Saturday night around 9-10pm I took my Aunt out and we happen to step into the Squire (My aunt has been coming here for years ) so we decided to come have a drink. As soon as we stepped in we were approached by the rudest bartender I’ve ever met. I had asked to use the restroom before ordering drinks and his response was “ We don’t have public restrooms” how rude to assume we were just people off the street we were paying customers. So I told him I’d like to order a drink and he rudely says yeah what do you want. And yells at my Elderly aunt who’s searching for her ID then he says he doesn’t give af what she’s looking for . At that point we were so disgusted with his rude customer service and behavior we left. I’m almost wondering if it was racially motivated. Highly disappointed! Check your night bar tenders Squire you just lost a long time customer.

Best dive bar ever. Service is always so great and drinks are affordable. I always laugh that it’s “Squire Lounge & Grill” but all they have is a vending machine - adds to the character. They also have a parking lot which is rare in this part of town!
