This place is struggling. No soap in mens bathroom(health code violation). Basically this place isn't being cared for or manager properly. Food flavor and quality of service has dropped in the past year or so. Use to be my go to spot so highly disappointed. Not sure if it changed ownership or what.

I've never been a big fan of Syrup, but I had never been to this location and had a yen for pancakes, so I got up early to get some takeout as I know it gets crowded, especially on a weekend morning.

It was fairly quiet at 8:30 on Sunday. The host directed me to the bar where a friendly staffer took my order. The order was out in about ten minutes.

The takeout box was so hot I could hardly hang onto it. This seemed odd. Pancakes are not usually steaming hot when they come to the table. Could the dreaded microwave have been involved? I don't know.

I made my way home and opened the box to discover not fluffy, golden cakes, but a somewhat dense, dark brown mess right on the verge of being burnt. The taste was off, too. It seemed like the flat top had not been cleaned and the pancakes had picked up burnt flavors from previous dishes.

Not at all what I was expecting. I won't be back. Ick.

Utterly delicious, everything was good from the crack bacon to the tall stack of pancakes. Coffee was good, the donuts were perfect!!!! And the dipping sauces just made that dough sing!!! I only get to visit Colorado once or twice a year but this will be on my brunch itinerary every single time I come to visit.

I had the banana rollups, super delicous! Staff was great and friendly, there without being too much. I easily could've had leftovers if I had the ability to take food with me. Good amount of food at a good price. Glad I came!

This is the kind of place you stumble into after a pumpkin-pie-themed 5K and think, yeah… this will do. And then it does.

The cold brew is actually good. If they had a drive thru window, I’d probably accept my fate and slide into a slow, caffeine-driven financial decline, rolling up every morning for another hit.

You can’t really screw up eggs and bacon - simple, unfussy, exactly what you want when you’re hungry and slightly feral from a morning run.

But what pushes this place from “this is edible” to “ok I’ll come back” is the service. They treated my dog like a beloved regular at a neighborhood bar. They brought him a water bowl and a pup cup. Served him like he was just another guy at the table. Every staff member stopped to say hi.

Sure, I can get eggs anywhere. But can my dog get his own side of bacon and a head pat anywhere?

Shockingly bad and outrageously expensive for the quality that you get. Everything we ordered was extremely greasy and heavy - even the oatmeal somehow felt ridiculously unhealthy. It was just the two of us for breakfast and I felt like we ordered a normal amount of food, and yet our meal was around $90. Despite literally living down the street in walking distance of this place, we only came here once and never returned. Cafe Miriam is a MUCH better choice if you’re looking for a good breakfast in City Park.

Syrup is a cute little spot. Service was impeccable. I was concerned it was going to be really busy, but we were able to get seated pretty fast around lunch time on a Saturday. Lots of drink options, coffee, bar, etc. Everything looked delicious. The list of syrups is crazy! I think I would come back just to try those. I opted for the shrimp and cheesy grits special with green chili. Not a ton of shrimp but at that price point, didn't bother me. Loved how many veggies were in the green chili, and the grits were good as well (though a little less creamy than I'm used to, still flavorful though). I would absolutely come back next time I'm in the area.

Although I did enjoy the atmosphere and great service, but the pigs in a blanket did not meet my expectations. I tried the oatmeal and it was quite good, but the bananas were not very ripe. Nice place with good service.

This place was delicious. I was indecisive on what to order because there was so many options on the menu. I ended up getting the California Benedict and it was outstanding. The presentation was great. The ingredients tasted very fresh. The atmosphere was awesome we sat outside and they have the perfect setup for a nice fall day not too hot or too cold. We will definitely be back.

Went to Syrup at City Park. The service was great. I had the Wisconsin. I was really looking forward to cutting into a poached egg and have the yolk ooze over the bacon and English muffins. Unfortunately, the yolk on both my eggs were hard. I was visiting from Chicago and didn't want to make a big deal in front of family who had recommended Syrup. Personally I would not return.
