Taco Uprising has been my favorite Saturday morning tradition for a few months now. Matias, the owner, is a gem of a human, and you can tell he really cares about this place. The breakfast bowl is massive, and easily feeds me for two meals. Pro Tip: always get the side of chorizo gravy. You can thank me later.

Ordered takeout and got a fried chicken, pescado, and mexicano
The fried chicken was pretty mediocre, the chicken itself being underseasoned, overcooked, and dry. The toppings definitely overpowered the chicken. Would not recommend.
The pescado was amazing, very spicy, absolute burst of flavor in the first bite (and the other bites too). The avocado balances out the acidity nicely, fish cooked beautifully, great taco. So good, i forgot to take a photo before i scarfed down the whole things. Highly recommend.
Mexicano is just okay. Beef was overcooked, hard, and charred in some spots and poorly trimmed in others. Avocado salsa was really acidic overpowering everything. Griddled cheese just gets lost in the whole mix with such a neutral cheese. Also would not recommend.
Green salsa tasted like some cheap gross apple sauce texture canned product.
Overall not great on the food side of things but i would come back to slam a couple more fish tacos sometime. If only the others were as good!!

Amazing food and super friendly and efficient service for just one guy doing it all. Busing tables, taking orders and making drinks. Dude was a beast. Throughly enjoyed our tacos and drinks before our show at Cervantes which is within walking distance.

didn't know how to order until my friend explained it to me. It wasn't the most intuitive solution to just put a QR code in the menu. Also I understand that unfortunately it was already 10-15 minutes past closing time (8pm is kinda early to me) but the waiter started to take our plates away while we were still finishing to eat the chips we ordered.

Taco Uprising was so yummy! Between my husband and I we got 5 different types of tacos, beans, and the churros and all were amazing! I highllllyyyy recommend!

Nice folks, good vibe, good food. Don’t understand the reviewers who suggest the tacos are small, they are a fair bit larger than street tacos and even bigger if you get the homemade flour tortilla. The fried chicken was especially fantastic. Good vegan options also.

Biggest thing - TORTILLAS ARE HOMEMADE! And they are so freaking good, if I lived here I'd buy a dozen to eat at home.
First time was for dinner: Michelada was so good and just the right amount of pepper, the shrimp taco was the best I've ever had, the birria is delicious too and I know that's generally popular now, the queso and chips also very tasty.
Second time was for breakfast. I got the rancheros breakfast tacos and buttermilk chicken with chorizo gravy ? sooo yummy!!
