TBD Foods Personal Chef and Catering

TBD foods prepared and served an incredible multi-course dinner at my home for me and my dinner guests. Professional, High quality, and worked with the needs of me and my dinner guests.

TLDR: Unprofessional, not very gracious with mistakes and disorganized in the proposal process

I reached out to TBD Foods in the last week of September 2025 for a wedding in Denver in August 2026. I am from Denver but live in CA currently and am planning from afar. Sent an incredibly detailed inquiry with day-of event timeline by hour, menu ideas, location (just a few blocks from their prep kitchen) and a bit about the event. Received two separate responses from he and his wife, Holly, seeking details already provided in my initial inquiry like guest count, location, time. Sent several emails back and forth clarifying capabilities, menu ideas, rentals etc. and finally had to set up a call in October (initiated by me after many proposal mistakes) to align. There was constant confusion regarding the style of the event and rentals – TBH, the many proposal revisions due to their mistakes maybe should have been the hint this might not be the best fit. But we went ahead! Terrence was late to the call on October 15 but let me know ahead of time and I genuinely didn’t have an issue with it. After aligning, I paid $100 to have a menu tasting on Monday, December 22 when my husband and I would be visiting Denver from CA. So, this is a tasting that has been on the calendar for at least a month.
When we arrived at our tasting (after confirming via email the week before and day of) 15 minutes before (6:45p) the scheduled time of 7pm, Terence is irate. Mistakenly, the event in my calendar was in PT (since we live in CA) instead of MT. He says that he refuses to serve us because we have “disrespected him and wasted his time and he has a 4-month-old at home.” He continues to say that we are disorganized and lack care and that in addition to not offering a tasting, he will not put in the effort to cook for our wedding after how we’ve treated him. We are SUPER apologetic – this is something we’ve spent money on, confirmed via email and have been looking forward to. When asked why he didn’t call to check on our arrival time, he said he “doesn’t have my phone number. And you confirmed with Holly so that should have been enough.” Because I filled out an entire inquiry on their website and spoke with him personally to schedule this tasting, it’s BUCK WILD to say that you don’t have my number and think sending an email is problem solving enough. We would have literally hopped in the car and been there in 15 minutes had we been given the courtesy of a phone call. All of this to say, we made a mistake, were very apologetic and were treated super rudely and given no tasting despite paying. 0/10 for TBD Foods.

We ordered a Christmas meal this year. The food was excellent (the smoked bison was divine) and they gave good size portions. We'll order for the holidays from TBD again :)

Holly and team at TBD Foods hosted and catered our absolutely unforgettable rehearsal dinner. Planning the event was so easy thanks to the proactive and responsive communication from Holly. During the event, food was delicious, staff was courteous and quick, and overall we just loved it. For all that we looked forward to our rehearsal dinner, our expectations were completely blown away. Thank you so much TBD Foods for memories we'll cherish as we start our marriage together!

They were my caterers for my wedding this summer and they went above and beyond! We had an 80 person wedding and the food was absolutely delicious! We did passed apps during cocktail hour that were so yummy and then had a family style dinner. They also were our bartenders and did a fantastic job. They even helped us set up the table decor and do final touches on things which was definitely above the call of duty. Really loved working with them throughout the whole process

TBD Foods was very easy to work with in planning and executing a baby shower brunch buffet. They offered many food options, and everything we had was delicious and presented beautifully. We appreciated the attention to detail, professional service and quality of the food. I would highly recommend and would definitely use again next time I am looking for a caterer or private chef!

As a wedding planner/coordinator, I recommended TBD Foods to come up to the mountains for a party of 30. They accommodated all of the special food requirements, made everything fresh (in an outdoor kitchen), treated every guest like they were the star of the show, and presented every part of the meal in a beautiful fashion. I look forward to working with them again - at festivals, weddings, private parties, etc. - and can't wait to try their restaurant for a brunch date.

TBD foods is very responsive and really easy to work with. They provided catering for a house party where we served light appetizers. Food is delicious and Holly is wonderful to work with.

We have used TBD to cater multiple friends and business dinners. Most recently, we hosted a dinner for 8 in our home. The food, the presentation and service were wonderful and made for a spectacular evening. If you are looking for an in-home private chef experience in the intimacy of your own home, I could not recommend TBD more highly.

My family had TBD Foods cater our holiday party this year and the entire experience was outstanding. We had equal amounts of adults and children and the menu Holly prepared for us was loved by all of us. Plus, Terrance & Ryan provided exceptional service throughout the meal. Just can't say enough about this 5-star evening.

The staff was friendly and fun. The entire experience was charming. The food was chef inspired with unique flavors. Each course was brought out family style one course at a time. The portions were small which allowed us to eat multiple courses without getting too full.

The craft cocktails and cocktails were absolutely amazing just like the food!

Wow, we had the BEST experience hosting an intimate dinner at Sullivan Scrap Kitchen. Holly was a joy to work with - so responsive and accommodating, even with late changes and varied dietary restrictions. The food was delicious and so thoughtfully sourced and prepared. We love their mission! The service was top-notch and we felt welcome and comfortable in the space. Best of all, we got great feedback from our out-of-town guests. Thank you, thank you, Holly + team!
