The cheese curds had a terrible texture, like eating partially melted plastic. They could’ve been vegan or something and I just missed that when reading the menu. If that’s the case, disregard this review. I suppose that would explain it and the food should be judged by different metrics.

Great place for lunch. Stopped by during an event at the convention center. Highly recommend. Didn’t have any drinks but the bar looks great.

Super hotel restaurant! Ate here two times in two days. Lunch when arriving and the. Breakfast on the way out. Both were way above average. Bison meatloaf bites were a highlight. So was the squash soup. My BEC sandwich was way better than I expected. Oh, the poutine fries were great too. Tasty cheese. Lots of bacon.

One of the coolest places we found! The espresso martini is, swear to all that is holy, the single best EM I've had in Denver. It packed a punch and had a fantastic coffee taste too.

We had a peculiar experience with this restaurant on a recent Friday night. We had an early pre-theater reservation, and it was our first time there. One of our party has a disability, so when we were shown to a counter-height table with high chairs, asked if there was a normal-height table available. The hostess said there would be only if we were willing to wait for a while (the restaurant was not busy at this time, and was never full for the entire time we were there), and then said that we can't be "picky" about our table. What a weird thing to say. I said that it was a strange way to communicate and that I wasn't loving the customer service so far, and she said she'd send the manager over (which she did not). I could understand if there were really no other table available, but that didn't seem to be the case, and it was just kind of needlessly snarky rudeness right off the bat. Having been given no other realistic option, we sat there anyway, and then watched the staff walk around the table while ignoring us completely while tending to other tables. We were actually on the point of leaving when a server finally brought some water and we were able to order.

The burgers and fries were good. The salmon, although nicely cooked, was strongly fishy-tasting. The pasta was fine. Every so often the hostess would pass our table and flash us this strange exaggerated smile. The server herself was good though, perfectly professional.

An interesting experience, and not really in a great way. I can't see us going back, as there are other better options for pre-theater in the area, although not as many as before the pandemic.

As a diamond member for Hilton- this is an amazing surprise to find a gem of a restaurant on one of their properties. Brandon was an amazing excellent server to our party. The host was also great.

DO NOT EAT HERE for Thanksgiving or any holiday function. My husband and I ate here for our Thanksgiving meal and we were very disappointed with the food and service we received. Our chicken pot pie soup was cold as well as our turkey and gravy entree. The only meal we received that was warm was our dessert that we ordered to go because it took 30 minutes for it to be prepared. Our waitress recognized the service we received and did comp our drinks.

If you really want a nice, quality, holiday dinner, do not eat here.

I really loved this place- it was cozy, laid back and the food was phenomenal. It's within the Slate Hotel. I'm totally in love with the adaptive reuse of an historic school.

Kid-friendliness: My 10yo is a pretty adventurous and easy going eater, He had no problem finding things on the menu and liked the place too.

I went for lunch I looked up this place it had good reviews, I had Elote fries, that was delicious btw. But then, there was hair in my food! Wasnt even mine!
Granted the server did take it off and I paid a higher tip, but why hair in my food? I've been nothing but nice to these people😭🤢 I'm severely heartbroken.

I went here with friends for lunch because others had rated it so highly. However, my experience wasn't as good. I ordered the chicken lemongrass soup. When the waiter brought it to me, he seemed unsure if he was going to leave it or not, as there was another dish in front of me, but eventually spilled half the bowl on me while putting it down. The soup burned my hand and I had to find a restroom to get washed up, as I had soup all over me. He didn't even apologize or offer to give me a discount, but instead, offered to get me another napkin! The others in my group were not impressed either. We will not be going back.

A cute spot to grab a drink before a show. Cocktails were very good. Food was ok. Skip the chicken chop salad. Only a few crumbs of chicken. Bison meatloaf appetizers and French fries were good. Service was a bit slow, so we had to rush to get to the DCPA in time despite a 5:30 reservation. Cool to see the school building renovated into a hotel and restaurant.
