This place is a gem! Inside a hotel that used to be a school. Super design and acoustics. Loved the flooring and the ceiling for noise absorption and aesthetics. The food and drink is were all delicious! We had cocktails, Cesar salad, bass, and risotto. We will come back and try dessert next time. Great location if you have a show to catch in the theater district or a convention to attend... Charming place that has delicious food!

A little hard to find, inside The Slate Hotel, which we didn't realize. Very attentive service when we arrived early, at 6pm. Fun cocktails & mocktails, limited but tasty menu. Really liked the miso glazed striped bass. Service kind of fell apart when they got busy, and trivia night made it a bit loud. Our waiter got our dessert order wrong (we wanted the carrot cheesecake, got the apple crumble) but we ate it anyway, and enjoyed it. We'd give it another try especially...

We had a work event take plate at the Slate hotel and we were treated to a wonderful lunch at the Teacher’s Lounge. The ambience is great, and it was perfectly quiet to hold conversations, even when it is at the hotel lobby.
We tried their appetizers, including the goat cheese ball, the elote fries, the farmers market hummus and bison meatloaf bites. They were all very tasty and varied.
For the mains, each of us chose a salad base to which we added protein...
