We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, but unfortunately, this visit was incredibly disappointing. There was a hair in the bread, which is already unacceptable — but it got worse. Our server brought out the appetizer with his thumb pressed right on top of the food. Then, without gloves, he used his thumb and fingernail to push down the Parmesan cheese. It was absolutely unsanitary and honestly disgusting. This experience completely changed how we feel about a place we once loved.

This is our neighborhood joint and we love going there. Unfortunately the food has gotten so bad last night might be the last time. Everything we ordered had so much salt in it you could not taste anything else and the pasta was rubber. It was so bad we didn't finish half of our entrees. Such a bummer as it really is a great place to go and prices are resonable.

Overall a wonderful little neighborhood restaurant. Good food though it could stand to be less “Americanized” and more faithful to Italian cuisine. For Example: the carpaccio was good, but felt very French in its composition. Even the garnish lent itself to a steak tartar rather than Italian carpaccio. The grilled calamari however was exceptional. The tiramisu was also notable.
The pacing of service could use some improvement, but overall the experience was great. Would definitely recommend and return.

Massive hair in my food. Unfortunate because I got it delivered but would return to sender if I could.
Food and service were incredible. Highly recommend the calamari steak or the carbnonara !

This was our first time here, and the food was far too good. The Calamari and Spicy Rigatoni were excellent.

We are in from out of town for a national soccer finals for my daughter. They served her a rancid steak. She had three bites and said it didn’t taste right. My husband and I smelled it, it was putrid. There is no way they didn’t smell the rotting steak when they cooked it. I pray she doesn’t get food poisoning tonight. Will never go back and I will tell my family in Denver about the awful experience.

One of the best neighborhood restaurants in central Denver. Very family friendly and reasonably priced with a traditional Italian menu and friendly staff. Usually a great special or two and fairly priced wines by the glass (hard to find these days in Denver)

Good food, good atmosphere
Food was good. not amazing by any means .. It was 55 degrees Inside!!! I know it was 10 degrees F outside but this was unacceptable. less than 10% of staff or patron had taken their winter jackets off. when asked about the temp.server said the wall heater would heat up. he tried 3x and it never came on..... it was unbearable. ordered the special chicken riggies- noodles and sauce tastes good, chicken was overcooked- had a hard time cutting with a fork . we left as soon as we got the check ...

Garbage. Both some of the worst pasta and service I’ve ever had. Our party was not that big (around 8 people), but it still took a good 1/5 hours for our food to come out. Meanwhile, we were served what has to be to worst, most rinky dink pathetic garlic bread I’ve ever seen (think 2 inch squares burnt to a crisp with a light dusting of expired garlic powder). Meanwhile, after waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting (pasta boils in about 7 minutes, right…?) we get our plates…except I asked for chicken on mine, which did not happen…and, oh, chicken or not, it was the blandest, nastiest plate of pasta I have ever had. I took 3 bites and had to push it away. My brother and nephew tried some, too, and totally agreed after a single bite. Foul, bland, and nasty…but probably would’ve been edible with chicken. Alas.

The food is very mediocre here which wouldn't be an issue if the wait times weren't egregious. To top it off, this place is extraordinarily dirty and run down. If this was a dive bar I would say it's just fine. But this is a restaurant. The wall next to the table where we were sitting was covered with a very thick layer of black fuzz that I'm hoping wasn't mold. We tried this place about 7 years ago and hadn't been back since. We went this week and now remember why.

Not impressed. Horrible management and service. Everything smells burnt. Thick black smoke in the air. Trip hazards all the way to the bathroom. We ordered a salad to split and it's about 5 bites of nothing for $8. Upon coming back from the bathroom 3 servers where doing paperwork over my child's seat, car seat, and diaper bag. I asked if they where going to be hanging out there. The bartender looked at me snapped! She said, "I JUST TOLD HER TO WATCH OUT! I said, ok? This is my stuff and my child's things are they going to be here? She goes, " DO YOU WANT TO MOVE?? DO YOU EVEN WANT TO BE IM PUBLIC??" I'm like not in those smokey teup hazard place. Where is your manager? She said. " I AM THE MANAGER!!" my bf switched baby and I spots because they continued to ivade our space and privacy. Over a 17 month old baby. I told the server we where going to leave. A women apparently the owner came up and started harassing us and yelling in our face!? We told her 3 times we where leaving as she is yelling at us. Shut this place down. I smell like smoke, and my hair and clothes feel damaged. I can hardly breathe, walking out. Avoid!!! Disgusting. Good luck attacking families. My bf had to tell her to stop causing a scene and she blocked my child's stuff more standing over my things in the way blocking us from moving threatening the police. Lol I wish I called the police. Never again.

Amazing food, great service. Really enjoyed my pasta here. Got the special, chicken riggies and it was fantastic. Only complaint I would say is add more chicken but the server totally made up for that by shaving fresh parm all over the dish. Highly recommend this place for a good American Italian experience.
