Horrible mean service
The epitome of what I'm looking for in a dive bar. Don't ruin it!

This place is atmosphere.
It’s unironically a dive bar, just a genuine bar you can go and get a drink. Just perfect for a small bar, no silly stuff like so much of the corporate competition.

Last Saturday, we went with the intention of getting to know the place and having a pleasant time. Unfortunately, the experience was not positive due to the poor service we received.
We ordered several buckets of beer and had to wait at the bar to be served, while the person in charge constantly prioritized other customers. Their attitude was discourteous throughout our stay, and the service did not meet even the most basic expectations. For this reason, I decided not to leave a tip, as I didn’t feel that the service deserved it beyond simply handing over what we ordered after long waits.
At the end of the night, when the bar was about to close, the person shouted at us to leave. When I politely asked for a cup to take a beer we hadn’t finished, they replied in front of other customers that, since we hadn’t tipped, we had “no right to ask for anything.”
I would like to remind that tipping is voluntary, and customers should never be disrespected or publicly shamed for choosing not to tip—especially when the service was not satisfactory.
Not recommended!👎

It's 4 minutes walk from my house, but can't imagine I'd ever come back.
I scouted it out on my board tonight, finally, and didn't find any spot comfortable to settle my single self, even for the duration of a beer. Patient, friendly, and humble as I swear I was in my request, the bartender was visibly angry about serving me a half a glass of water before I left. It definitely felt like it wasn't a fluke. Honestly, it felt like it might have been in response to my long hair. (which I've NEVER encountered, and would never have thought to imaging before tonight.) Also, the sidewalks are terrible getting there.
The place gave me the ick as a first impression, and hammered it home with the hospitality. $18 minimum.

This place is incredible! My wife and I love a hometown dive and we found it on our trip to Denver last week. Megan the bartender and the owners were awesome and everyone was very welcoming. We spent a few hours here and would have stayed longer if we didn’t have to meet some friends downtown (womp womp) 10/10 Will be going back next trip and can’t wait!!

Of all the bars I've been to in Denver this is easily the best one. Drinks are cheap. Atmosphere is chill. Bartenders are excellent. There's a sheltered smoking section out back. All great stuff
