Right down the street from our hotel, this was a quaint little breakfast nook. We had a Denver omelette (of course), Potato cakes with eggs, and the Boulder Organic Coffee. All were very good! Service was good & fast, but not rushing. Were here long enough for 2 cups of coffee.

Food was great. Considering it's covid and a little cool in the mornings it would be nice for heat lamps and a few more tables. But the food was great and service was great

Food was fantastic. A bit pricey but what isn't in this neighborhood. The food was worth sitting outside in 30 degree weather to eat. (COVID)

When we walked up we were unsure about them being open or having outdoor seating. A guy opened the door and greeted us and let us know we could sit where we wanted outside or could take out.We choose to sit out on their patio and were immediately brought water and offered drinks. We got hot chocolate and a mimosa. The cream on the hot sauce was fantastic! My mimosa was good and strong. We ordered their breakfast burrito, turkey bacon and gruyere cheese sandwich, and full waffle with strawberries and cream. My sandwich was awesome I loved the bread it was very good combination. The waffle was heaven as well.Customer service was superb. I needed to use the restroom and as soon as I walked in I was greeted by a gentleman that asked if I needed to use the restroom and directed me where to go. It was a bit of obstacle so I very much appreciated the help! Memorable, we will be back when we come back into town!

Great food and even better prices. Don't be afraid to get off the mall and try this great little spot.

Great place with good service and yummy food. I had never tried eggs Benedict before but I got the California Benedict and it was delicious. They cook their bacon well-done unless you ask otherwise.

Mimosas at 8AM? YES PLEASE! I was in town with some buddies for a guys weekend, and after a full night of debauchery, we need a nice wholesome breakfast to begin the next days' festivities. The Egg Shell fit the bill perfectly because they were open, and serving! This place is in Denver, so I naturally ordered a Denver omelet and it did not disappoint!! So good! The staff were funny and friendly, and the hostess was smoking hot. (May or may not have been why we stopped in.)

I LOVE this spot. I am from New Mexico but we make sure to stop in every time we're in town. Mario is the best and so SWEET! 10/10 recommend.

I love breakfasts. I’ve written about my breakfast quests/conquests on TA before. Here’s my advice re: the 17th Street Egg Shell — don’t waste your time. In my opinionated opinion it’s not even mediocre. The restaurant isn’t responsible for the line waiting to get in. But once I got in, what did I get with to accompany my breakfast? Look at the photo: a couple of slices of burned, DRY (that is, no butter, margarine, OR soul) rye bread. I ordered an additional bagel to have something to push my egg yolk around with. PS. The bagel was over-toasted too... My mimosa — can someone spell “under-pour?” The new there was the coffee... WHAT coffee?! I got a cup. One cup of the brown liquid. Was asked if I wanted another cup, and waited another 15 minutes before it ever came. The wait staff was inattentive. The door let in gales of cold air every 2-3 minutes. Yes. This was a breakfast I never want to repeat. Never, ever, nowhere. Blech.

Just walked out, the nice waiter did not charge us for the disappointing food we rcvd after waiting 50+ minutes for some eggs and chilaquiles. They must have been short staffed and we were warned but I feel that a 50+ min wait for eggs should've came with a more stern warning. The green chili chilaquiles I ordered barely had any chili, and the tortilla chips had not been stewed in the salsa as chilaquiles should be. So they ended up just being a small plate of nachos with an egg and a slight drizzle of sauce that was not green, and did taste of chili whatsoever. It was a bad tasting dish that was not made correctly. The server was nice, he realized the food was not well made and he offered his apologies. The orange juice was also not fresh. So, I'm not sure why everything took so long. In the end we didn't pay but we spent 1hr of our time. I would love to say I'd give this place another chance but I don't want to lie. I would go outside of downtown if you want better service and food.

Delicious breakfast! We stumbled along this gem when another restaurant’s wait was too long, and I’m glad we did! They had several options. The staff and service were great. The food was tasty and we did not have to wait too long to be seated or to eat.

I waited in the cold for 40minutes in the hope that this would be worth the wait. It was average, not worth the wait. The food was pretty good but I was unimpressed by the service. I ran out of coffee and my waiter was inattentive. The decor is dreadful and they use a paint can for silverware. Why?! If you have to wait for your breakfast, wait elsewhere.
