I think her name was Jill but hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had! Friendly, quick, and clearly knows their craft. They made perfect drinks, kept the vibe upbeat, and made everyone feel welcome.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a dive bar, but it's close. It's an awesome bar with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and regulars, and the food is solid. Their happy hour is amazing. $8 subs and cheap drinks from 3-6pm. I'm glad I dropped in for a visit.

This afternoon was my first time at The Horseshoe Lounge and it’ll probably be my last. The woman bartender was downright unfriendly and made me feel weird for being there. It was clear that everyone else was a regular but me. Weird, cliquey vibes and attitude for literally no reason…

In the age of tech & AI, humans need human interaction and that’s what I got in this place. Genuine connection and great drinks. Very local place, highly recommend

I hadn't been into this place since before COVID but I was in the neighborhood and decided to check it out again. The woman bartender...I'm not sure if maybe I resembled someone who murdered her entire family but that's what it felt like. She was extremely cold and short with me, meanwhile being extremely friendly and personable with basically everyone else in the bar. I've never been to made to feel more uncomfortable or more unwelcomed in my entire life.

Affectionately known as The Shoe, it has a retro vibe dive bar, but not too divey. Good food, pizza, tots, OK drink selection, great bartenders. A neighborhood fixture in Uptown, and a must-visit if you’re looking for a cool dive bar experience.

One of my favorite neighborhood spots! And they actually know how to do a Chicago dog.

Love horseshoe, great dive bar with your typical dive bar finds: jukebox, ambient lighting, patio area, fried foods, a pool table. Overall, just a great comfy place to hang out

Place was pretty packed for a Friday night which is to be expected but every table had a mound of dirty glasses and emptys. Bartenders seemed yaked out. Ordered two 9$ beer and shot specials and two 7$ dogs and was charged 39$ somehow. Dogs showed up cold! Hotdog. Hot. Dog. It’s in the name! And I didn’t see a single horseshoe in the place…
