Place was pretty packed for a Friday night which is to be expected but every table had a mound of dirty glasses and emptys. Bartenders seemed yaked out. Ordered two 9$ beer and shot specials and two 7$ dogs and was charged 39$ somehow. Dogs showed up cold! Hotdog. Hot. Dog. It’s in the name! And I didn’t see a single horseshoe in the place…

The Horseshoe Lounge is a true neighborhood institution, and it’s amazing to see it still going strong! In a world where so much changes, it’s comforting to know that some places can stay the same—great drinks, friendly atmosphere, and that classic dive bar charm that keeps people coming back.
One of the best surprises was how much safer the area feels compared to the last several years. If you’ve been thinking about revisiting but haven’t been in a while, just do it! The Horseshoe is just as great as you remember, if not better.

Food is good enough, to be fair it's my after work spot so the kitchen is always closed when I get there so only 4 stars because I've only tried the late night eats.
The bartenders are great, there's a reason all the locals in the area made this their regular spot. Attracts a good crowd, diverse and fun. Only thing that's kinda weird is how they handle last call but I'm a bartender too and honestly I love seeing a bar that doesn't take shit. They have clear rules and standards and abide to them so I love it but just a heads up that you'll definitely know when it's last call and when you need to leave. Be respectful and personable and this will become one of your favorite bars. Be a dick.... And you'll hate this place because literally everyone will dislike you. Good vibes and a great lil local bar!
