We really enjoyed our time at Babe's Tea Room. The waiter was helpful with informing us about our teas and our tea time snacks. Thank you for helping us celebrate mothers day.
After speaking to my guests that came out, they also expressed their disappointment with their experience. I reserved a table at the Babe's Tea Room for my birthday. Although I appreciate the asst manager Julia's desire to resolve the issue it unfortunately came a little too late. As someone who works in the mental health field I understand being overwhelmed and having bad days however when it comes at the expense of others something has to change. With the staff knowing that our server Keke wasn't the most appropriate fit for our party I do feel like they set both of us up for failure. For a party of 11 we spent over $800 and should have never encountered the issues that we did. From the very beginning I received the wrong quotes online, my party time was pushed back to "accommodate us", to then being told the day of "Just so you know, we can’t push back your time… so would you like me to bring out the food." I hadn't even gotten a chance to walk through the door or even sit down! We were rushed the entire 90 mins, orders were wrong, got charged for extra trays, the vegan tower wasn't good, couldn't get questions answered without being dismissed with a very anxious/annoyed attitude. Which made for a very unpleasant atmosphere every time KeKe came to our table. The fact that one person had such an impact on our experience is so disappointing. I even saw some other reviews that mentioned their experiences with her as well. Please do something about this so no one else's experience is ruined like mine was.
Very cute and delicious, we probably tried 10 teas. We loved the curry chicken sandwiches and the blueberry rendezvous tea especially
Service was bad even when empty. Had to walk to counter to request anything during our afternoon tea. The food and first tea was dropped off then nothing. Had to go to counter to get check, had to go to counter to get tea, pretty much anything, which is sad since you can literally see in one of my photos that no one was even there.
Good thing was that it was pretty.
After tax and tip for 2 people we paid $148 and it was not work it (we did not order alcohol or any extras). The tea and little treats were good and that’s about it. I’d you’re looking for a cute place to take Instagram pics this is your place, if you want a quality afternoon tea I’d skip. I’ll start by saying the place is dirty. The pillows are dirty, the walls behind the seating are dirty, the benches are you guessed it, visibly dirty. They are just out to make money. They pack it so full and it’s on so loud and the tables are so small it’s just an overall uncomfortable experience. Service starts out strong and about 20 minutes in our server was nowhere to be found. When we flagged somebody down they informed us that our server was out on break and I guess they didn’t think to assign somebody else to watch her tables although we booked for 1.5 hours. When you order a new tea they do not bring new cups. So if you poured a full cup of something you don’t like you’re basically stuck with it. The overall service was terrible. Overpriced Instagram Bs.
The tea and food were excellent, but that’s where the positives end. I’ve visited twice with a friend, and both times, the service was disappointing.
During my first visit, we were rushed despite slow refills. The waiter dropped off the card reader and left but it froze, I accidentally selected an option while trying to fix it. The waiter returned, loudly announcing, “So no tip?” before I could explain—an embarrassing moment that could have been handled more emphatically.
Despite this, we gave the place another chance. The service started well but quickly declined. Our waitress disappeared for long stretches, only returning to drop off to-go boxes and inform us we had an hour left—despite us still waiting for tea refills. Another staff member aggressively cleared our dishes, making it seem like we had overstayed, though we were well within our limit.
With few teahouse options downtown, this has been a default choice, but as soon as a new spot opens, we won’t be back. The decor also feels cheap.

This is a place to spill tea over tea! My friend and I love coming here often to catch up. My husband and I also love doing lunch here! Their loose leaf teas are amazing. We are bigger fans of black so for my fellow black tea lovers:they tend to be on the lighter side with floral undertones but I love them, and you can buy your favorites too! (My husband keeps the Chocolate Chai on deck) I also love how they make slight changes to their menu often.NOW unfortunately there are some cons. One of them being is the place is small (and very cute) BUT it can get loud in there when it's full. The last time I went it was only half full and it was so much better cause when it gets full and loud you can barely hear your tea partner. So time your tea wisely. Second and last is the staff. Most of the time not a problem and a very sweet kind people but there is a bad habit of if you ask for something they may need a gentle reminder after awhile cause sometimes it gets crazy in there. OR you will try to flag someone down cause you can't find your specific waiter/waitress and they will make eye contact and then ignore you. Make note that this doesn't happen all the time just once every other time I seem to go but the tea and the good snacks make up for this. 🌸❤️
Frequently go for the afternoon tea, and I absolutely love it. Usually leave with additional tea for home!
We had a lovely time here, there were so many tea time snacks and the quality of their teas was certainly worth the visit.

We had an excellent time having afternoon tea here. We each tried several teas and little sandwiches during our time. The service was good. It was made clear there was a time limit ahead of time, and it was politely enforced (they even offered a to go cup for the tea I was still drinking). I'm just sad I forgot to take photos
The afternoon tea is overpriced. The atmosphere is loud, noisy, and the space is very small. Some of the dishes weren't very clean. The food had obviously been sitting out for a while before being served. The edges of the sandwiches were hard and nothing seemed fresh. Our server was very busy, and had too many tables to take care of so we are always out of tea. Overall a good time, just overpriced for what you get!
Such a gorgeous place to hangout!! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, plus their patience is outstanding 😄
Such a fun, girly spot to celebrate my daughter's bday!
Came here this evening for my birthday!! Great experience for our first time- the staff was very accommodating. A modern ambiance with a traditional tea experience!
