This place is a diamond in the rough! We were in town for our anniversary and needed coffee before taking on the day! One of the locals suggested the Banana fosters latte and it did not disappoint, it was liquid gold in a cup. I got it iced and still had all the flavor of an actual bananas foster! We also tried the breakfast burrito, but the crown jewel was the breakfast sandwich! The bread was just right and the herby mayo with the egg! I want to go get another one just thinking about it, but its almost dinner! We also got the orange cranberry scone and lavender matcha tea cake and oh my lord they did not disappoint! I whole heartedly endorse this place and when in Denver you must stop by!

I got the caramelized banana latte and the matcha lavender scone. LOVED the scone, the frosting balanced out the scone part very well imo. The banana latte wasn’t as sweet as I was expecting which was a plus.
There is plentiful outdoor patio seating for the size of the place. Not as much indoor seating (there is a booth, a table, and a long bench for waiting for orders), so a sunny-day visit or to-go if it’s rainy might be ideal.

The food? Not impressed at all. Oh well.
Try it yourself but we won’t be back.

I’ve tried many of the smaller owned coffee shops in Cap Hill and surrounding areas: Doppio, Thump, Whittier, The Drip, Little Owl, etc etc.
For some reason I’ve never tried The Weathervane until last week- and I am STILL thinking about how excellent their espresso is.
I was shocked: That was the BEST latte I’ve had in years- and I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else in the near future.
Perfectly balanced between espresso and sweet for my preference. 🤍☕️
Staff is comfortable to order with & decor is kitschy, cozy, and relaxed- Can’t wait to actually enjoy the seating area next time.

If you're looking for a coffee shop that feels like a warm hug, look no further than The Weathervane in Denver. This place is an absolute gem, and it's easy to see why it's a local favorite. Housed in a charming, historic carriage house, the atmosphere is cozy, eclectic, and full of personality. You'll find mismatched furniture, vintage records, and a comfortable, homey vibe that encourages you to linger. They even have a lovely patio and a quiet upstairs area if you need a spot to work or just get away from the bustle.
But let's get to the important stuff: the coffee and the food. The coffee here is top-notch. It's clear that they take their beans and their brewing seriously. Whether you're a fan of a classic Americano, a perfectly spiced chai, or one of their house-made syrup concoctions, you won't be disappointed.
And let's talk about the breakfast burrito. This isn't your average grab-and-go burrito—this is a super solid breakfast burrito that could easily be a contender for one of the best in the city. It's packed with all the right stuff, and the flavors are spot on. It's hearty, satisfying, and the perfect companion to a great cup of coffee.
What truly sets The Weathervane apart, though, is the overall experience. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the relaxed environment makes you feel like you can take your time and just enjoy the moment. They also have a great selection of locally made pastries, treats, and even a small vintage shop, adding to the unique charm.
The Weathervane is the kind of place you'll want to come back to again and again. It's the perfect spot for a slow morning, a catch-up with a friend, or a quiet solo visit. Highly recommended!

Really good coffee and food if you’re willing to pay the price! I recommend getting a coffee you haven’t tried before with one of their sandwiches. It has some really fresh ingredients and you can tell you are getting what you pay for.(service wise and food quality)
I enjoyed sitting in their upstairs room and also their outside seating was really nice!

I love this place so much! The employees are fun snd helpful. They're working hard during popular times. The happy camper, tumeric, and macha lattes are my favorites. The sandwiches are awesome and so are the cucumbers with dill. Inside is tiny but you can usually find a place to sit. Bathroom is clean and cozy. Love the patio when it's not too hot.
I bring all my friends and family and they love it, too. 🍵☕️

Adorable coffee shop with tasty sandwiches and good coffee. They have lots of seating on their outdoor balcony and patio as well as inside. I tried their Cubano sandwich and a cold brew and wasn’t disappointed. The service is great and they have some fun little Knick knacks to purchase. Check them out!

The happy camper latte is the single best latte in Denver proper. Amazing. Order ahead via the app cause wait times can be long for walking in on a weekend morning
