This place is a diamond in the rough! We were in town for our anniversary and needed coffee before taking on the day! One of the locals suggested the Banana fosters latte and it did not disappoint, it was liquid gold in a cup. I got it iced and still had all the flavor of an actual bananas foster! We also tried the breakfast burrito, but the crown jewel was the breakfast sandwich! The bread was just right and the herby mayo with the egg! I want to go get another one just thinking...
I got the caramelized banana latte and the matcha lavender scone. LOVED the scone, the frosting balanced out the scone part very well imo. The banana latte wasn’t as sweet as I was expecting which was a plus.
There is plentiful outdoor patio seating for the size of the place. Not as much indoor seating (there is a booth, a table, and a long bench for waiting for orders), so a sunny-day visit or to-go if it’s rainy might be ideal.

I’ve tried many of the smaller owned coffee shops in Cap Hill and surrounding areas: Doppio, Thump, Whittier, The Drip, Little Owl, etc etc.
For some reason I’ve never tried The Weathervane until last week- and I am STILL thinking about how excellent their espresso is.
I was shocked: That was the BEST latte I’ve had in years- and I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else in the near future.
