Used to enjoy the location in Cherry Creek but after that one closed, never tried this owing to lots of competition in the downtown area and not usually going to, essentially, gastropub/sports bar places. For this night however, it was worth trying prior to a Nuggets game and pleased that we did. The food and service were as good as in the past after moving from a high-top on the main aisle and having some beer spilled on me (not the runners fault, two females bumped into him)....

I love The Thirsty Lion! It is my go-to when I have an 'occasion dinner' or when I have a visitor from out of town because it is so easily accessible to Union Station, public transit, and the rideshare stations.

Stopped by Thirsty Lion on the way to the game and was really impressed. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for a pregame bite. Definitely recommend!
