The workers educated me on what they offered. We tried literally one of everything and ALL of it was good. Indian fry bread taco was by far my favorite though

I drove 45 minutes out of the way of my route based on a recommendation. Absolutely happy I did! I had the Indian Taco with Bison. Delicious. Then had the fry bread and I recommend covering your sweet tooth. The staff was absolutely great!! I look forward to my next trip to the area. Hope to try another recommendation when I return.

GREAT food. Served kinda like Chipotle but quality is much higher and served with fry bread. Braised Bison was awesome.
Will have to make it back another time for dessert. 😋

We got the bison ribs and stuffed fry bread and it was so delicious! The fry bread was my personal fave but I would recommend the ribs too. If you do get the ribs, I would also get a side. So glad we found this gem!

I’m going to be a bit critical in my review because there are some things that need to be improved upon, but I wholeheartedly recommend visiting. I’ve been many times. I’ve had the bison ribs which are interesting, but like with beef ribs they aren’t meaty enough really. This isn’t Tocabe’s fault, but if you’re hungry opt for the Indian/flatbread/frybread/Navajo Taco. My personal favorite is with the shredded bison(if available), but all the meats are good. The chili beans have more flavor than the black beans. Definitely get the hominy, that’s probably the only traditional and authentic pre-Colombian food on the menu. The other items are genuine to reservation foods, but those are heavily influenced by non-native sources.
While I really like this restaurant, they are always out of something. Ribs, shredded bison a beer variety. Always at least one thing missing. Frequently more than one. They have been open long enough to better-manage supply. On my last visit my wife and I were in -line together but they elected to complete four online/phone orders in between ours. I asked the. Young man behind the counter to move my wife’s BEHIND the four orders so we’d be complete at approximately the same time. He refused, telling me that’s the order the orders came in. Yeah, fix that. Terrific little restaurant that I highly recommend. But I hope they make some adjustments that are needed.

Wonderful little place in Denver. I would describe it as Chipotle but the ingredients are all Native. I got a pre made bowl and it was delicious! Never had this combination of ingredients before but it was amazing. I ate it all up. Thank you Tocabe for a great time!

Best bison ribs I've ever had! Frybread was on point. So was the wild rice.
