This review is mainly about the tonkotsu ramen. It’s absolutely sub-par and unacceptable. They charged me a $1.50 to add half an egg that wasn’t even soft boiled (it was hard boiled). The broth was flavorless and not thick or creamy enough. It only comes with some bok choy and pickled ginger with 3 measly thin pieces of chashu pork. It should be a $10 bowl of ramen MAX. I paid almost $20. Love this places sushi but there’s way too many better ramen places in the area. It would cost them almost nothing to upgrade their ramen considering it uses the simplest and most available ingredients which just shows a conplete lack of care. However their sushi is great and would recommend it over many sushi places in the area.

This place rules and is my new fav for late night hangs and food. The waiter/manager named G is absolutely incredible, some of the best service I’ve ever had at any restaurant. If you’re looking for food recs, the curry and kara age are great.

TOKIO is an absolute gem in Denver! I came for the ramen but also loved their sushi! (Monday is $2 salmon night). The ramen menu is stacked with delicious options, my pick was the spicy shoyu, rich and comforting with perfect chashu pork. I also tried the Kyoto Matcha IPA, which was super unique and surprisingly refreshing. Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and great specials like sea eel and sea urchin. Definitely worth a visit if you're into ramen or want to test your competitive eating skills! (Check out their 5.5lb challenge!)

Love this place so much. G is honestly one of the best servers and made the experience exceptional but I’ve never had a bad experience here. The sushi is a 10/10 and I would compare it to Uchi style. Unagi hand roll slaps. Will definitely be back.

Great restaurant with various options such as sushi, ramen and bowls. I loved the chicken teriyaki bowl but the sushi rolls were absolutely delicious. Come here for a cute date night or just an outing with friends - highly recommend.

Never prepared the food for my Uber order and still charged me for it.
As someone who has lived in Japan before for an extended period of time I can safely say this place is one of the closest representations of great Japanese food I've found in the states. The takoyaki balls are MUST try, they are just like the ones on the streets of Dotonbori!
