I came here yesterday with my family. It was my birthday. The food was so delicious, and service was so great! (I forgot to ask her name). My grandma really love the atmosphere of the restaurant. She decided to take a shot of sake because the place gave her a good mood. Anyway, thank you!

We have been going here for years, it was our go to sushi spot. To a point where we would recognize our servers and chefs. Today we came in and were told there was a 15-30 min wait for 2. Totally fine, got on the waitlist. I should note when we got told this, there was 2 empty tables that we could see. But we got on a waitlist and let that go. 30 mins go by, the whole time we can see both of those said tables standing there empty. My boyfriend goes inside to ask for an update, we get told “theres still nothing”. We stand outside for 5 more mins, once again starring at the 2 open tables that have been open now for 35 mins since we came in. We decided we were done waiting, my boyfriend goes back in to take our name off the waitlist and gets told “Actually we just had a table open up” and points at the said table that has been open this whole time. We left. I dont know if this was some business move to hold out a table for a bigger party, or just simply personal. Either way, sad to say I have no desire to go back. We have never experienced service like that here before, its a shame.

My husband and I wanted to try a new place and came here to eat sushi. We were seated at the sushi bar, they were pretty busy so the sushi took a little longer than expected but Sushi Chef was making all of the sushi orders as fast as possible! Our last roll was taking a bit and the chef knew that (but you can only do so much when you have so many orders!) so he double stuffed our roll and handed it to us. Sushi chef is a boss!! We could tell he's just a nice person who works hard. Definitely worth the visit and the food is delicious!!

The best sushi I have had. I wish I had taken pics of the sushi, as it was well presented but more importantly, had amazing flavors. I was attending a conference and a colleague of mine found Tokio so we tried it. She always finds the best sushi places and Tokio is right at the top of the list. It will always be my favorite place to have sushi every time I am in Denver. We had the Lobster Tempura Roll, Volcano Roll, Dragon Roll, Caterpillar Roll, and King Salmon sushi. There was such a variety of complimentary flavors, also adding ponzu sauce for the King Salmon. Staff was welcoming, atmosphere was also great. Highly recommended.

This place was pretty awesome! We ate here for the first time last night after a long day at the St. Paddy's Day parade, and the ramen definitely hit the spot! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars was because of the seating arrangements. They have this long table on the other side of the wall when you first come in and we were sat at the end closest to the front door area and it was just a little cramped and the seats weren't too comfortable. Other than that, no complaints!Service was great, they were pretty busy, so I wasn't bothered by the extra time it took for our server to get to us. Our server was G, and we got very well taken care of regardless! Very good service!Food really did hit the spot! I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with an egg, he ordered the Shoyu Ramen with the spicy sesame oil on the side (so he could control how spicy it was), and we also ordered some Seared Tuna and Salmon Nigiri and the Volcano Roll! The nigiri was excellent! They are very generous with the size of the sushi for the nigiri, which makes it worth the cost per piece. The volcano roll was also great and had 8 pieces in it. The only gripe I have was with the ramen I ordered. The pork slices were cut a little too thick, and they were a bit dry, and the ramen needed a little more salt added because the flavor was just a smidge on the bland side. However, it was still very good, and I was pleasantly happy with it overall! We had a great first visit here so I do recommend checking this place out if you're in the area, especially if you're staying at the Hilton hotel across the street since it's within walking distance!Parking: Parking is tricky in this area because it's also full of apartments above the restaurants. If you can find a spot, take it.

Amazing! Servers were so nice and best food ever have to try. I would recommend the Ramen it had an egg ramen noodles and more based on which kind you decide to chose look at their secret menu for more options ?Dietary restrictions: They asked everybody if there were any dietary or allergies to food.Kid-friendliness: If you needed help with chopsticks ?then you can get a chopstick helper.

My husband and I went to Denver for the first time and were craving ramen. I did research ramen restaurants, and Tokio showed up. The place looked very elegant and the food was DELICIOUS. We ordered ramen, sushi, and steamed pork dumplings. It was so goo that we came a second time before our trip was over.Parking: There's a parking garage behind the restaurant and it is free for 2 hours.

We tried several things, all excellent. Sushi varieties and udon noodle bowl so yummy that we got another for take home for lunch next day. Toro melted in your mouth - more please!Split decision on popular diablo ramen but husband practically licked the bowl. Reg miso and udon more my style. Gyoza delicious, prepared to perfection by only Chinami, an authentic Japanese American. Green tea cheesecake was a nice finish. Kat was an outstanding knowledgeable server with great suggestions. Comfortable cool looking atmosphere. Overall a bit more expensive as good sushi is, but excellent quality and a lovely experience.

I had a traditional ramen and some beastly looking sushi rolls. Both very much hit the spot. Interior design of this place is particularly interesting. It's at the top of my must-go-back list when I visit Denver again.

Tokio: A Birthday Delight!Celebrated my birthday at Tokio, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was welcoming with awesome music. The food? Unbelievably good, especially the Ramen! Only downside was the slow and slightly clumsy service. Parking is tough downtown, so plan accordingly. Overall, a must-visit spot! ?
