I feel that "the new" and redesigned Tom's Starlight is a hidden spot that not many have had the chance to check out. And now I see it's marked as "Closed" on Yelp -- I am so sad to hear this! The remodel on the inside gave new but retro vibes. On the outside a bougie outdoor and large space that belonged to the parking lot before. It's quite lovely and could be enjoyed all year when the sunshine and layering is strong. They did have a happy hour each day they're open from 4-6pm where there were very good drink specials. Unfortunately no food specials but it was a great deal on drinks. I had a wonderful beet salad with fried goat cheese & pistachio. It was so good and creative, too. Will they reopen?! I do not know what happened. The space is too great!

Had a reservation for 14 people weeks in advance. Showed up the night of to find a hand written note that it was permanently closed. Read an article in local news about the owner closing because he wanted to retire. The least he could have done was let reservations know they were closing, but I guess a little bit of consideration is asking too much in today's world.

This place is super funky and revived! We got to sit outside and it was very fun! Our waiter was great! The only thing was the food was super average. Similar to any old bar food but it was still good.

Unfortunately the menu has become very limited. The fried pickles are good. The steak fries are okay. Service was pretty slow and inattentive. Cool mid-century space, but the food and service are definitely not up to par.

The customer service here really surprised. I remember stopping by randomly because it was late, I hadn't eaten dinner yet and I didn't feel waiting to get home and cook.I was a bit surprised when the staff began speaking with me and asking how my day was. I just wasn't used to it. The staff here is incredibly friendly, and the service is great. They're always checking if you're doing good or if you'd like anything else. Pretty good drink selection as well.I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for a fun and interesting late-night spot to grab food and drink in downtown.

Undiscovered spot for Sunday brunch with delicious breakfast selections, a hearty watermelon salad, and a large beverage menu. Large patio left indoor seating abundant. Great place waling distance to state capitol and cathedral.

Cocktails were a little pricey but tasty. Retro Las Vegas Strip vibe. They had live music playing and it was great. Fantastic bartenders.

Our previous experience at Tom's was excellent all around. This time, however, they seemed to be shorthanded with a full outdoor area and only one server. We were not checked on very often, one of our group's dinners was completely forgotten until she went inside to talk to someone and the mac & cheese, that was so good the last time we had it, was a bowl of plain elbow macaroni, swimming in milk with some hardened shredded cheese on top. Very disappointing since our friends were so looking forward to trying Tom's after our rave review from our first visit. (Note: they were super apologetic about the forgotten flatbread, taking it off the bill and giving us a free round of shots. However, being over 50 we were not keen on banana mystery rum shots ?) I know the restaurant staff shortage is a serious issue and I hope they work it out soon because this is a very cool spot.

The service was spotty, kind of slow, and much of our food came out room temperature. The food itself was fairly tasty, but not a good value. The menu is limited. For a restaurant that supposedly features special cocktails, that aspect was a total disappointment. The drinks are expensive, and my cocktail had no particular flavor at all.

I came for brunch on Sunday at 1130am. I got their Aperol Spritz. It was served in a globe shaped glass which showed off the orange color and the bubbles from the prosecco. Very refreshing. I then got the Beet Salad with fried goat cheese croquettes. Nice light appetizer. My entree was their Chicken & Waffle. Good Waffle with 2 chicken tenders. For dessert, I got grilled open-faced Blueberry muffin with a whipped citrus cream cheese spread. Yummy. They include a 6% service charge for the kitchen staff. Additional tips are shared among other servers. A good meal. I was served by one of the bar persons, Riley. Nice to speak with.

Amazing service and ambiance. This really is one of the best patios in Denver! I was surprised how far back it went, and there are varying seats/table set ups. Food was lack luster at best. The pork chop was too charred (had to scrape the burnt parts off). Pretzel was good but didn't care for the cheese sauce.. steak sandwich was nothing to write home about either. Food was pricey for what it was! Service did give my boyfriend and I free cookies which were delicious though. I'd come here and hang out out back! I wouldn't eat dinner again though.

I used to be a regular at Toms Diner. My husband and I would still take a two hour drive to eat there often even after moving away from the city. I probably won't be back ever again now though. I was so excited when I saw so many good reviews after they reopened, but I was not impressed. No more breakfast was the first disappointment. The menu looked revamped with a little bit of flair, but the food wasn't more than edible. They charged 19 dollars for a Cesar salad with a couple slices of burnt to a crisp completely unseasoned chicken. I have never had to endure a worse play list of "loung" music in my life. The patio was a great idea and inviting but full of bees on the attack, so much so I was barely able to eat. The pork chop dish (that I used to absolutely adore at Tom's Diner,) was plopped on top of the most aweful disappointment of "house apple sauce" ever. Almost 100 dollars for 2 people to eat dinner without any alcohol showed the signs of the times. They tried to throw back to the old comfortable decor and vibe, but the place was clearly just gentrified and not in a good way, they even had an .80 cent charge listed on the menu for stupid questions.

Charge 6% service fee but then hand you a tablet without and itemized receipt and expect you to tip on top of the 6%. Service wasn’t great, food was just okay, remodel is really cool. Server I asked for a drink said okay and never came back.Definitely a outdoor bar more than a restaurant.
