We went to Uchi for HH and the place was packed and buzzing when we got there around 4:45 on a Friday night.
We ordered the omakase for two, expecting a 9-course nigiri set, but were pleasantly surprised by how much variety it included — a hand held salad, hamachi chili, three pieces of nigiri, hama kama, temaki, pork belly, squash tempura, and dessert. We added a few extra dishes (charred edamame, crispy rice, and sake maki) but honestly didn’t need to because the omakase was so filling.
Everything was amazing, the fish was incredibly fresh, and my lychee martini was one of the best I’ve ever had — perfectly balanced, not too sweet or too strong. Overall, a fantastic value and experience for happy hour.

The best service we’ve had in a long time. My husband is from Japan. We felt the food was authentic with wonderful Colorado accents here and there. Our new favorite restaurant. Can’t wait to go again.

Uchi made our anniversary memorable. The atmosphere was good, the food was amazing, cocktails were great, and overall service was thoughtful. We ordered the omakase which was 10 courses and each dish was very impressive.
Our sushi chef made great conversation and had excellent recommendations. Everything tasted fresh. Just nothing to really critique.

We tried the omakase here. Everything was truly top tier, which made this our new favorite sushi spot in Denver.

Great food and great experience. Most options available for those of us gluten free. Loved the soft crab rolls and flounder crudo. Loved most things we got to be honest! Lots of interesting flavors to taste! Worst thing we got wasn’t even bad, simply okay, and that was the salmon roe.

We love everything about this place. The service is always top notch. The food, incredible. The atmosphere — bar none— you will always feel like the only people in the room with how you are treated. We love Uchi! Thank you for always treating us like queens and kings!

This is my favorite restaurant ever! Every time I come to Denver, I never miss it. All my friends love the food here. My favorite orders are the soft-shell roll and the yellowtail — but honestly, everything on the menu is great

Well that was the most underwhelming service and experience.
The valet guy was the best service we had all night.
We came for my husband's birthday and when I made the reservation I mentioned it and not once was it acknowledged. We started with a glass of wine and beer and that took 30 minutes to make its way out. Then we did the 10 course omakase and they brought everything so fast. We weren't even finished before the next course came. At the end, they only brought 7 out of the 10 courses and they brought 2 of the same. I mentioned it to our server before we even touched it and he said oh sorry and that was it? Didn't even bring a different course. It was disappointing to pay what we did for the experience we had. The food was fine. The service was a huge miss.
Perfect every time. I have never experienced anything other than a great meal here.

Our server Julius was incredible. We did the somasake option as my friend has a gluten allergy and he crafted the perfect menu for us. The food was incredible. The ambience is great and overall we absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back.
Super chill vibe! Kind of romantic 😏, perfect for besties, birthdays, or to just be cute and have cute bartenders smile at you and bless you with exquisite teasers! 🥰

Went tonight, in town from California. The food was amazing. And our server Nina gave us the best experience. Thank you, you deserve a raise for the Sake flight and chefs menu.

Short story, if you will be in the Denver area, make a reservation for omakase, or drop through for happy hour.
While all elements of the experience were strong, and generally in line for the price point, the most noteworthy element of our evening was Tiffany, our server. Her experience with the menu, with serving, and with communication was standout. In spite of the kitchen and the bar both being busy, she took time at servings in between courses, which I expect for fine dining. Her bonhomie was genuine and disarming. Tiffany went the extra mile to make our dinner party feel met, and special.
The ambiance was clean, a touch industrial, and had appropriate cultural nods. It was a touch dark to read the menu, but that seems common these days. Just a bit more light, would help patrons enjoy the plating more. It was loud, but conversation was doable.
The cuisine was well inspired, appropriately coursed, and for the most part, very well plated. Stand outs were the emperor fish nigiri, the sashimi in general, lobster miso, and a tapioca parfait that for me, was the winner of the night. The sake was excellent, and reasonably paired. The cocktails met expectations.
I enjoyed my experience here more than at their Austin location, which is also worth visiting.
I look forward to returning to both.
