Great drinks, friendly staff. Only reason it wasn't 5/5, was the music didn't really match the drinks or look of the bar. It was fine music, just was expecting more casual chill rather than hip hop

This was my first time at Union Lodge No.1 and it was phenomenal! The atmosphere was soft and elegant. The drinks and staff were top notch! She was very knowledgeable on all of the drink choices and found the perfect, fruity, and fresh cocktail that I was craving!

The Sazerac was so smooth and memorable. The cash register and American flag are the oldest items in the bar. The American flag was found on a naval ship with gun powder on it. The vibe here is very chill and interesting.

Stellar cocktail! It’s listed as a speakeasy, but I would say craft cocktail bar is a more accurate description. Nonetheless, the flavor profiles and variety of drinks were a reward for your palate. The blend of ingredients creates a savory balance that tantalizes the senses and leaves you craving more. From the first sip to the last, it's an experience that elevates any occasion. Soooo......after much research on who in Denver has the very best Old Fashioned we came to the conclusion that our best opportunity to experience greatness would be the Union Lodge. Great Vibe for a Pre Dinner Cocktail. Although ultra small they maximize space opportunities. Staff is very eclectic and I would expect this as Denver is a eclectic area all together. However, my Spidey senses were activated when our server asked what brought us in. We explained we heard this was the place to come for the best Old Fashioned. His retort was a bit off putting "Hopefully we can do better than a basic Old Fashioned. " He was correct. Amazing cocktails were being created right before our eyes. The Bartenders not only are master mixologists with overflowing foams and glacial iced cocktails that remind you of something seen in the movies and photos. However, they came up short on the OF. I fully expected based on what I have already witnessed a smoked tableside cocktail that was smooth and forward but sophisticated that met and dovetailed with the vibe I was experiencing. However, we received Bourbon in a glass. For that matter we did not get a choice or notification on what Bourbon would or could be used. If this is the best Denver can offer by way of the Old Fashioned Denver has work to do. If you want an amazing Slo Gin fizz or Pina Colada this might be your spot. However, we have some ground to make up as Im sure someone in Denver is doing the Old Fashioned better and with more customer focus that the guys delivered this evening!

A new favorite & frequent. The gin fizz is everything - it's tastes like a milkshake without being too too sweet. Super cool spot with exposed brick and fun decor. Service is wonderful and cocktails are killer.
