I love Viva Burrito. It is my favorite breakfast burrito. I normally go the one on Colfax, or on Pecos. I had not been to this one in over a decade.
I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito which is not the norm for me. I am usually a chorizo guy, but for some reason, I just wanted a bacon breakfast burrito. I was mostly disappointed. It was smaller than usual, and there was not much bacon inside. Something was missing. If I were not such a die hard Viva Burrito fan, this would have probably been my last time eating there. But, they get off the hook, as I have been eating at other Vivas for decades and they have earned me as a customer. Hopefully next time I am at this store it will be better and this was just a one time incident.
Oh, and for those who don't know, Viva has the best salsa in the game. Actually some spice and great flavor.

I used to love this place but recently when I order they use a huge tortilla for a burrito but only put the tiniest amount of filling. Why use the big tortilla? Every bite is 85% tortilla and most of the burrito is potato. Idk if it’s inflation or what but it’s not worth it anymore

Place got caught up in the rising egg prices. There breakfast burritos have gone up from $2 back in 2007, to $5 or so up to COVID and now its $9.
Its too much, $7 is more fair and even at that a bit expensive. Burritos are DRY unless you use the salsa which is delicious however they don't give you very much.
I have stopped going here and I am sure others due to the price hikes relative to what you get.

OMG hot carnitas and carne asada soft tacos out of an old Taco Bell
Building
Hot sauce was spicy but just at the level of burn
But the thing that really separated this experience was food temperature and crunchy char on the carnitas
I was in the area to pick up a repaired chair and went looking for good food, found it here on Federal

Use to love this place for a good breakfast burrito to get your day started. Been going there for years but I finally decided I am done. I have always went through the drive through. Started by guy asking at least 3 times our order which is pretty simple. 2 chorizo breakfast burritos and a large coke. So either the intercom needs to be replaced or he didn't understand English. Finally get to the window and he repeated our order bacon breakfast burritos NO! 2 chorizo burritos then he treated us like we ordered wrong!!! And still forgot the drink. And then being charged over 8 dollars for a breakfast burrito when most of it is potato. Come on! Needless to say won't be going back.
