I loved the variety of choices, presentation, creativity of the rolls, and delicious taste.
Ramen was the highlight of the meal with the sushi offering strong support. I'll be returning for the ramen at a minimum.
What an incredible find Wellness Sushi has been. This was my first 100% vegan sushi concept and it did not disappoint. From their rolls to their appetizers to their donburi bowls, this place was absolutely incredible. Great for a quick bite or a nice meal and the staff are super friendly! My non-vegan partner was very impressed; I think this was the place that really opened his eyes to what vegan fare could be.
Options are stellar. Flavors are good! A must try when visiting Denver! We loved the bang bang broc! We recently just had an incredible eggplant unagi nigiri in Chicago, so we were excited to try the Ohnagi roll. The smokey sake roll was a bit chewy, but otherwise the rolls were great.
In my top few favorite restaurants in Denver. Great, central location in Denver across from East High School. Street parking has never been a problem for me, but they do have access to a free parking garage as well. Handy during the endless road contruction. Now... the food. The food is fab. Incredible sushi and ramen. Casual sort of place but top tier food.
i was delighted when wellness sushi re-opened a few years ago, and as i've watched the menu expand i've only been more delighted to see this business grow. the tonkotsu is incredible and the sushi is absolutely amazing. the menu is extremely authentic and i've gotten to try so many foods i never thought i would get to have thanks to this wonderful gem of a restauarant. if i could eat here every day, i would. i think this place is a must for anybody who comes to visit denver. it really is one the best places out there!
Wellness Sushi in Denver is an absolute GEM! As it's 100% plant-based, anyone can order freely without having to ask 1,000 questions about ingredients. My favorite thing to get here is the soy-free FIERY PHILLY ROLL (Jalapeno Tempura, Vegan Sundried-Tomato Cheese, Avocado, Cucumber, Malina's Sweet Mango, Shichimi *Contains Cashew Nuts, Gluten, etc.,). My go-to habit is Fiery Philly Roll + something I haven't tried before. The GRILLED GOYZA is amazing, as are the following (which I've personally tried): OKINAWA ONIGIRI Avocado Roll Veggie Spring Rolls... Honestly, I've never had anything but amazing food here. I cannot recommend Wellness Sushi enough! This is perfect for takeout, but the tiny restaurant–wedged in-between Chipotle and Twist & Shout on Colfax (near Tattered Cover and Sie Film Center)–is super cute, too.
Everything on the menu is good 👍
We came here for lunch on a Sunday. Not busy but our food took an hour to come out. The whole place smelled like refried oil and after we left, our hair and clothes continued smelling like it. I wish I had listened to the other reviewer who mentioned this.
It’s not just the greatest vegan sushi, ramen, or onigiri - it’s the best vegan restaurant in Denver by far.
Restaurantji Recommends
This was some of the best vegan sushi I have ever had. I highly recommend this place. The menu is diverse and everything tastes fresh and delicious. The spicy rolls are actually spicy, so be warned.
SO good.
So I am super bummed right now writing this review because I have been a Wellness fan since day one, for roughly 5 years when we could purchase prepped rolls at the Nooch. I followed them to Choice Market of course. Got rolls the night before they had the cross contamination issue with Choice. Followed them to Aurora when they worked from a shared kitchen. I was even invited to and attended the grand opening launch party for the current Colfax location. I have always traveled 30-40+ minutes for them..
..my last few visits have just been sub-par. I don’t know if it is lack of training, lack of employees in general, maybe adding too many new items to the menu so the OG items can’t be focused on or what but the recipes and tastes have changed drastically. The take out order I had today included the Smokey Sake Roll and the Ohnagi, 2 of my favorite. There is NO smoke in the Sake and the Ohnagi is just raw eggplant wrapped, no sauce. The time before this the shiitake mushroom stuffed tofu had been minced and there was no flavor.
It just sucks there has been no consistency in flavors and recipes since the flagship store was opened. It also sucks how impersonal it has become ordering from the kiosk. It also sucks how long it takes for them to prepare an order. On average it’s 20 minutes longer than ETA provided on square.
I miss the old reliable, always delicious Wellness.
Awesome. Their unique dish - natto rolls, are incredible
This place has the best vegan sushi I have ever had. They also have delicious onigiri and other dishes. Even if you’re not vegan the food is incredible. Definitely worth a trip - there is a big parking garage right around the corner!
