The food is very hit or miss as well as the service. If you go here I recommend sitting at the bar getting the burrata and some drinks and going somewhere else for entrees. I've been here a couple time and find the menu to be lacking, in the photo attached I got the Steak tartar and octopus both we're just ok. When sitting at the bar I got my drinks quicker and had more personalized service from the bartender.

We loved our visit. Caught the end of HH and decided to eat dinner at the bar. To be honest, this was an experience that was destined for a solid 4 but the service of Hanna made it a 5. Cyrus (not sure of spelling) was the other bartender, and although we talked to only Hanna, he seemed to be also on his game. The HH is solid. $5 lager that is not bad ($4 on the website), and $5 wine that my wife said was solid. $2 off the cocktails is cool, but you ARE near downtown, so deals are tough. The building is nostalgic, and one side is very open with lots of windows and the other is more indoors-y. Sorry. I didn't take pics of the place except for the food on this visit. But, LOVED the space. The bar has a really cool vibe, and filled up fast. Wood bar, plenty of seats. If looking for sports, they had it on, but it wasn't behind the bar, so you are aware. TV's were on the side. So, don't go there FOR sports, but know that sports will be on if you want it in the background. You can do a date night with a big game and steal glances of it. I got the shrimp scampi with gnocchi. Solid, solid, solid. Smaller portion, but it made me appreciate every bite. Wife got the steak and frites, and it was good. I think they should season their delicious fries a little more, but we loved them overall. Steak was cooked great. I recommend getting the horsey aioli with the fries. Overall, our experience was great, and Hanna (without the ending "h") was personable, efficient, and nice. Highly recommend, and see you there.
I don't even know what to say other than we walked out after having such a bad first impression with the hostess. I was gobsmacked with the attitude. We came for breakfast as we had credit from our Gold Member status from the attached Hilton. Two of the guests with me were carrying coffee that they had acquired in the lobby. The were told to drink up because there was no outside beverages permitted. One of them put theirs down at the desk, but I mentioned that there wasn't a sign saying "no outside beverages". She stated "no one would read it even if we did, like they don't that sign" while pointing at the "wait to be seated" sign. My other guest was finishing his coffee off when she said "I'll go ahead and seat you two while he finishes it off". I don't know but it was the whole tone. I sat for a couple of minutes lamenting her attitude and just decided to leave. There are SO MANY choices in downtown Denver, and I'm glad I did. We walked over to "Snooze" at Union Station and they treated us and our $$$ like gold. My trips to Denver will go without Woodie Fisher for sure!
loved coming here almost once a month for the woodie fischer burger. Was the best burger I’ve ever had in my life, came in tonight with my family and menu has completely changed. Not sure why they changed the menu, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Not sure if I’ll be coming back which is sad because the staff and atmosphere here are great, especially Lindsey!

I’ve enjoyed a couple of meals here now, but my second visit was my most memorable. Paul, the GM, had to fill in at the bar when a large group I was with came in before a conference. He was absolutely on point with his service. He knew every single product from food to each of the beers on tap. When a couple of our group had to step away just before the food came out, he was sure to keep the food warm until their return. Despite several of our efforts to generously tip him, he refused and redirected to the sole server on duty (which we did). Paul certainly deserves recognition for his stellar service

I ate breakfast here every day for a month and a half because I stayed at the hotel attached to it. First of all, sheesh those Denver cost of living prices. My go-to was the build your own breakfast/ Denver omelet/ pancakes. The potatoes that comes with some of the options are absolute fire. They do actually give you MAPLE syrup with the pancakes, not that fake corn syrup crap. The lavender French toast is pretty decent too. The waffle was kind of lackluster.
The Buffalo wings are fantastic. They're not tiny either. Those chickens had to have put up a fight. Don't get the Thai wings, those taste/smell weird. The burger and fries are pretty "meh" though, and the small bites are absolutely not worth considering.
Shout out to Sarah and Megan for being exceptional waitresses.

If this place had a better kitchen and food it would be a 10/10. The atmosphere is incredible and the bartenders are super personable. The food is boring and the kitchen is slow. It’s not bad enough that I wouldn’t go again, but only because the atmosphere is cool. We had a scallop dish that was a 6/10 for $20 and only had 2.5 scallops. The crab dish was solid but also small. Both took too long to arrive. We were told “the kitchen is slow today”. It was a Saturday evening at 6pm and there was maybe 10? Total tables?
The kitchen is bringing this place down.

A bartender was a little aggressive with us for ordering cocktail drinks from the restaurants menu. He really wanted us to try his personal recipes and his words were somewhere along
'who ever made the cocktails for the restaurant, they don't know what they are doing'
He handed us our drinks with an attitude placing the glasses all disgruntled on the bar table.
We stayed at the Hilton and we figured we give the restaurant a try since it was downstairs.
Food is great! Recommend going during happy hour and getting the burger. AWESOME!!

I stayed at the HGI for 3 nights, had a different dish for breakfast every morning here, as well as drinks and dinner one night. Service was excellent and the food was also quite good. I did not have a bad meal or dish, and would highly recommend this spot if you're staying at HGI or looking for meal while in this area.
