Cool place for a beer. Super nice bartenders. Cool atmosphere. There's a random super bowl trophy on top of one of their tanks, would love to have the story on that.

The IPA I had was super piney, in a good way, I liked it.

Took my pub cat to Animas for fish n chips and a beer. The black lager was great (their beer always is). Friendly staff, although Truman was denied entry (too cold for outdoor seating). I no longer recommend the fish and chips. Fish too thin to avoid becoming soggy from deep fryer. Not a fan of the style of chips. We'll be back on a sunny day.

The beer and the fish & chips were excellent. Love this place.

I'm giving a one star because the tall guy with the dark hair was nice. Otherwise I would rate this place a zero. They were not busy, only a few customers there. Short guy with lighter hair was very short to me and super rude to my friend who was trying to figure out what beer to order. She told him she usually drinks coors light, and he said they only serve real beer - he wasn't even kidding lol. Got seated outside and waited 15 minutes with no service. Short guy with lighter hair came out to yell at a guy sitting on the outdoor patio with a dog - saying no dogs allowed but still no service for us. We paid for the one beer one of us got then left - never to return. Great location near the river but service is bad. Pick another brewery to visit while in Durango.

Great place out of the way. Sat on the patio, watching the local Steam Locomotive go by. Love trains so that was pretty awesome!
Recommend the Fish & Chips...
Near Rotary park which helps make it feel like the only place in town. I will be back someday!

Did not allow dog on patio but other breweries in town do. Very limited beer selection. I’m a craft beer and brewery connoisseur and this place was okay at best.

The beer and the location are great, but Animas has lately been on a trajectory towards entirely underwhelming as an overall product. First off, I hate the counter service arrangement, b/c you just end up waiting in line over and over again (drink, food, second drink, desert, etc. and tab closure). The food quality is very spotty - sometimes good-not-great, sometimes over-cooked. Today the service was a complete disaster - the waitress missed one of the three entrées I ordered. Food for my group came out over about 20 minutes and no one bothered to check if we had everything. So I went back to the counter to check on the food and had to order fresh. THEN they brought the wrong pasty and I waited in line again to ask for the right pasty and then had to wait for the third time for it to get cooked. My ticket was not discounted in any way for all the waiting and trouble. In addition, a waiter tried to bring us the wrong food two different times. Today’s service is certainly the worst I have ever experienced at Animas, but it also feels like the continuation of a trend. I’m not sure I will be eating at Animas anymore.

Average brewing company. Prices are set like your eating in a hip exclusive spot, but it really is just average atmosphere and service. 3 stars, not bad but not notable either.

Great ranch! Yummy pasties, good chicken sandwich, cheers to good beer. My boyfriend really enjoyed the fisherman’s brown.

This brewery was highly recommended as dog friendly and close to the river. There are several terrible tables out front for people with dogs. We decided to go to another brewery in town.
